"This chess move and the forcing of the hand makes me dislike Clinton even more."
Me, too - and I didn't think that was possible.
"This chess move and the forcing of the hand makes me dislike Clinton even more."
Its talk and attitudes like this that will keep many home on election day. I honestly think you want to lose in November.
Its bad enough to have the right wing Clinton haters but now we have left wing Clinton haters as well.
You sorry people won't be happy no matter what. Your guy got the nomination but thats not good enough. You bitch about uniting the party but then you say $hit like this. How long before you turn on Obama?
Hillary's supporters are going to back Obama but thats not enough for you. Its like we're SUPPOSE to or something. Use the bitch for votes then throw her under the bus. No unity for the party til you learn a little respect. Love her or hate her, she is an asset to the party and we need her to win in November. Keep on bitching, but blame yourselves when McCain wins.
We need to unite and change our attitudes. I'm slowly changing mine.
Let's please come together. No more bashing Obama. No more bashing Clinton.
Now is the time to unify.
McCain is obnoxious. not a single word honoring the fact that Obama has become the first african american presidential candidate, but he talked extensively about hillary not being treated fairly? uh... playing to the angry female voters much?
I changed channels when McCain came on. I think it's in poor taste, and pretty stupid to try to steal thunder on an historic night like this. He's not the speaker that either Clinton and Obama are, and he will pale greatly by comparison.
He's looking really bad (physically). I seriously wouldn't want my grandparents to go through the stress of an election.
well if we needed a specific reason to unify, its this terrible speech in bad taste.
If this is the best mccain can do, we have nothing to fear.

McCain's strategy is going to be try to drive a wedge and peel off as many Clinton voters as possible. That's why he said "Pundits and party elders have declared that Senator Obama will be my opponent."
It makes me sick. I hope Clinton rips into him.
Oh my god.... this speech is kind of sad really. It's like the rehearsal. Even camera work is dated.
He needs Huckabee.....
It's all he can resort to, since he has nothing to go on with the issues.
and his teeth (real?) are really yellow.
he sickens me. starting the speech off by not even acknowledging what a historic night this is for our country and trying to drive a wedge with clinton supporters.
and what the **** is with all the cheesy booing from the crowd? i feel like i'm watching an episode of Maury. McCain, you are NOT the president

It's well past his bed time and he squints way too much with the teleprompter. I'm so confused by his message, other than the Hillary jab.
Wait till you guys see this man in debates. Check out the earlier Republican ones.
A few months ago, I was an Independent voter leaning toward McCain. WTF was I thinking?
His own party has thrown him to the wolves. Many democrats loved this man, he was almost our vice president. Wait to you find out his wishy washy politics.
As Star Jones would put it "he's in the sunset of his life" and this is no way to treat a war hero.

I think this is the first big misstep for Grampy McSame- to try to steal focus with a blatantly political speech is a huge mistake. Obama and Clinton are both going to come back with soaring rhetoric and a call to all Americans to come together...
And all McSame can offer is more finger pointing.
They didn't even teach that audience how to applaud. Obama is a rockstar, this man is like your mom bringing a clown to your 16th birthday party.
HILLARY
This is not a gambler's final throw
Forced upon me by those bastards who've
Only long to see me up and go
It's not an unprepared or panicked move
Which just goes to prove I'd be good for you
Clinton vice president is good for you!
CNN & MSNBC are reporting Obama has officially won the nomination!!!
FoxNews on the other hand... has yet to cut away from McCains speech and has no mention of Obama
"Its talk and attitudes like this that will keep many home on election day. I honestly think you want to lose in November."
No, it was someone's vain refusal to see the writing on the wall a long time ago that has created these feelings. There is now the "Well I should be chosen to go along with the ride because it is my legacy" attitude being projected that is amplifying these feelings. If I and others are feeling this way is it our fault?
I was neither an Obama supporter or a Clinton supporter going into this race. Over the course of these past few months I have developed a strong dislike for Clinton, as have many. It doesn't mean I will stay home on election day, it doesn't mean I won't vote for Obama. It means simply I do not like Clinton.
What are you talking about?
This race has been close. Hillary has won big states and so has Obama. The two have made history and have brought out and generated a lot of people to the party. You feel she is being selfish by having Obama add her to his team to help win in November? Really? So, she brings nothing to the race? She is just a hack?
My my. The Hillary hatred has blinded so many here, they will use her for their gain but trash her at the same time. Get what we need out of her but then throw under the bus when we are done.
Well, a lot of people have developed a strong dislike for Obama and his rabid supporters. So, whats your plan if she is the nominee? You say you won't sit home. Good. Hillary supporters make up about 50% of the Democrats. Should we piss off all of them? Have them support McCain? DO they not count or is this a Obama exclusive club now? Obama is the one who YOU and his supporters make sound like he is the one entitled. He doesn't have to work at anything. Its all Hillary who has to bow down to him now.
Politics is about compromise. Hillary and Obama are 2 powerhouse candidates. Only a stubborn fool who's hatred for Hillary runs so deep that they can't see the obvious would make such arrogant claims. There is ZERO chance of us winning and uniting the party with people like you in the way. The Hillary supporters have given in and are supporting Obama. The Obama supporters don;t want to budge though. They are entitled. How dare Hillary make it so tough for Obama.
Get over the hatred and the attitude or vote for McCain. Those are our options.
