I am addicted to the Bejeweled tournament on fb. Obsessed. A couple of friends and I keep on outdoing each other. I wound up in 4th place last week, and I'm falling behind this week.

Yeah, that obsessed.

Thankfully work is busy today. Sort'a.

I'm trying to figure out who...

I haven't really found a groove on FB. I check in, and have posted status updates (thanks to everyone who has been so kind during my nephew's surgery!), but haven't really gotten into all of the applications, games and all of that. Which is probably a good thing!

Today is the anniversary of my Mark's passing. It feels like yesterday. And a lifetime ago. So much learned since then. But, how I would give anything to turn back time.

people have been asking me what I want to do for the 1 year mark of Chris's death in August. I was like...ummmm...we need to do something?? Is this like a birthday now? Do you bring me presents on his behalf?? but then once i detract the b*tch claws, lol, and say that the perfect thing for me is to be in a place with those I love and that loved him dearly, a bottle(s) of wine and just talking about any story or memory that comes to mind of him. Why sulk and mourn, but celebrate the person that was here and blessed us with so much.

Tink, I think the same way you do: to celebrate the person's life. My 'celebration' is usually one of quiet reflection, although the first anniversary I gathered with friends and we talked and shared stories and stated that he was loved.

It's all very personal. People have different ways of handling these days. Some people never want to think about it and just 'move on'. Others actively mark the day with a ceremony of sorts. Whatever you feel in your heart is what you should do.

There is a memorial bench placed in Mark's honor in a place that had special meaning to us. I spend time there. Just remembering the love.

Sorry for the intrusion Addy, but I also like to recall them on their birthdays. A friend of mine passed away in February a couple of weeks before his birthday and I made sure to send out a little acknowledgement to him that day. I even marked it on my calendar.

Dottie, you are NEVER intruding! It's great to see you here on this happy thread of ours.

Regarding birthdays - I agree with you. I would probably choose to remember the 'birth' date, rather than the anniversary of the loss, but, I have some unusual circumstances.

Ok, I'm back on top on the Bejeweled Blitz tourney.

Addy - this is the first time I play a game on fb, actually, and I'm sure it'll pass.

Anyone else watching "Beautiful People" on Logo? You can also watch it online. It's a great, fun, fluffy show. Perfect for summer. And no, I have no vested interest in the show other than I think it's great.
