I don't usually do this, but I do believe in the power of prayer - or good thoughts or whatever you do - and I'm asking if you all will keep my boss and her family in your thoughts.

Her mom was diagnosed with cancer in the bladder in February after a routine test, and it turned out to be quite aggressive. After chemo and other grueling treatments, they told them today there's nothing to be done. This was all so sudden, she (my boss) is reeling.

I believe in the power of Prayer, DD, and will gladly say them for your boss's mom and family.

News like that just sucks the life out of you... reeling is a good way to describe it. Hopefully she will find her footing and strength to face what is to come. I hope she can spend her energy making all of these final moments count.

So... one of my bestest friends had a baby boy last night!
She is 40, so didn't think it would ever happen. But, it has.
A healthy beautiful baby boy!
I'm so happy!

ps - during her pregnancy we kept referring to the baby as Pippin. I'm not really sure how that got started. But, now she thinks she kind of likes that name for him. (but, probably better not...)
