Shira - it's an accumulation of his years of dealing with the press and public. He's an arrogant, rude, dismissive, emotionally volatile prick. On a good day. And it's especially appalling since he followed on the heels of Australia's Patrick Rafter, who was one of the nicest and most gentlemanly of sportsmen - a truly wonderful person. Australia deserves better as a representative.

I was going to get a Palm Pre, but my discount plan would not transfer, so it was not worth an extra 30 a month (in addition to the 300).

My treo 800 works OK, but is not as much fun as the Pre looks.

The Pre does look 10 shades of awesome, I admit!!

I figure the extra $30 a month is worth it, considering the amount of extras I had added to my plan previously. The Blackberry itself was cheap. I might upgrade to a new one, but I'll wear this one out first.

I figure I am connected enough. At this point, I barely use the texting and the browsing to begin with. Maybe if I traveled more like I used to...

Yes, Tink, we both lost our boys recently to those dastardly women. What's even worse is that they seem to be happy!

And if you ladies think I'm cute getting worked up over tennis, you might want to ask the TinMan for his impression - especially if I'm watching Roger at 6 in the morning on Sunday going for the record. 'Cute' probably won't be the word that pops into his mind
