No. My parents are leaving for it this afternoon though. The nerve of those two!!!

I'm just going to a big beach bbq/bar olympics thing on Saturday. It should be a LONG fun day.

Annual family ShinDig - about 100-150 folks over for hot dogs, line dancing, beer, ping pong, and singing in the back yard. Firework show across the street, so we all sit in lawn chairs and watch the show.

I think I may have to protect the firefighters from Shira this year!

Morning!


Two of the things I bought my sister-in-law for her birthday was this really cute sunflower tea pot and they also sold an even cuter tea cup/saucer/spoon set at Pier 1 to go with it. I figured it was something different for a change. Instead of the usual outfits, perfume/body washes, etc. And I got an assortment of different flavored teas, too.

I call her last night to sing (badly) to her and wish her a happy day. She thanks me for the gift and says she loves it, but she's not going to use it, because it's too pretty to use!! She's going to leave it out on the counter, since it seems it matches their kitchen perfectly. I told her she could still leave it out AND use it.

Doesn't she remember reading that e-mail that comes around at least once a month where they talk about all the things they should've done, or not put off for a rainy day?! GRRRRRRRRR!!!

I have no idea what I'm doing this weekend. One of my BFF's is here from CA for a few days, so we need to hook up at some point. I think I might crash YWIW's gala!

My mom is also a bubble type of gal, so we make huge bubbles that the kids get all excited about.

Hello Adults - busy, busy times lately and a little respite from the board. All are happy and healthy. Kids are out of school, C11 - all A's for the second straight year, the girls - not so much. Camps, etc. this summer. We have had houseguests and have traveled. This weekend we are away again - not really excited, but family obligations. I should stay and finish cleaning my basement from water leakage!!!!! Very sad to tear out nice carpet!

My Cubs are not making me happy this summer!

I have not seen any shows lately! Mrs. Brd and the girls went to Legally Blonde and loved it. We do have Spring Awakening in August. I even missed the Taste of Chicago Broadway in Chicago concert.

It will not be long and we will be gearing up for school.

Happy Fourth to all and hugs and kisses to everyone and a special smooch to Addy!
