Deviled eggs are all nice and ready to go in the fridge. Threw them together when I got back from unexpectedly seeing the fireworks last night. Pizza dip is only 3/4 way done. When I opened up the shredded mozzarella to put on top, it smelled horrible!! The date on the package said September 9, but... I was afraid to taste it, so I just threw the whole package in the garbage. It was only about 12:30 am, but I didn't think to run out to the store then, even though I've done it before. Luckily my friend has to go to the store, so she's going to pick it up for me.

Happy Fourth all! And happy birthday to the birthday girl!!

I think the pizza dip was really not in the stars today, though I defied them! On the way to my friend's, it tilted over in the car. I was able to pull over quickly enough and save it. Then I get there, unload the car, and walk into the backyard to see my friend putting out chips. That's when I realized I left the house without the Tostitos scoops! Luckily, she had a bag in the house. I really didn't feel like driving back home or going to a supermarket.

Hope you all had a wonderful day. The weather was absolutely gorgeous in Jersey. Sunny and breezy.

Shira looked fabulous, my sister and I got along reasonably well - which is a miracle in itself.

Lovely shin dig, but boy am I beat. We have to get Q there next year just because I think he would be like a kid in a candy store watching it all go along.

This year we had a mounted policeman come by and visit (and take donations for the horse). The horse did line dancing.

I am done busted tired.

That, and got to see my mom in some patriotic headdress that just had be rolling my eyes and pleading to see the birth certificate.

But, a nice time seems to have been had by all.

Andy took the first set! He's looking strong and confident - it's Roger that seems a bit 'on edge'. Now, into the second set, the stats seem to have evened up. There will be few breaks in the match, that seems certain. It may just boil down to who wants it more - and I think Andy has the edge, because he has less on the line.
