I used to live up there - Rifle, Glenwood Springs and Aspen. I really did like it, but eventually just got SO tired of dealing with snow. So now I visit - in the summer

This is where I'll be Friday for lunch - at my mother's house. This is the view from the end of her driveway. Not a great picture because it was a scanned photo, but you get the idea. That's the Colorado River.

Although, you might find shopping in Aspen somewhat diverting . . .

I'm going to spend time with my best friend, and she and I like to do a lot of hiking or sitting around playing games - neither of which he can stand! Besides, this way we can talk about him

Seriously, since his retirement, we basically spend all day every day together. Sometimes, I like to give him a break!
