I went to lunch in a part of town which is right near Sony Studios. It was absolutely empty and then filled up at about 1:20 - it seems much of the town was watching the memorial.
I purposefully timed my errand running to coincide with the broadcast, and was therefore able to get all my running around done almost completely unimpeded. I think they should schedule something like this about once a week
*the cows bring in lemonade in their next to normal shirts
Attend the tale of Bovine Boy
His party threads we all enjoy
But does he have Mad Cow Disease?
He doesn't eat beef - but cows skating? - oh please!!!
With cocoa!?!
And lemonade!?!

Good luck, Shira! Btw, shouldn't you be like being prepped or something?
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson
I leave tomorrow for a week in the Colorado mountains. Even though I will have access to a computer, I think I'm very consciously going to avoid it. I need a break - and I'm sure everyone else can survive without whatever tidbits of inanity I contribute to the fray.
Honestly, everything I read at this point makes me weary.
I know how you feel, Q. I never take a laptop with me on vacation for that very reason. To me, vacation means a break from everything in my day-to-day life - even the good things.
