So, what trouble are you getting yourself into now Shira?
Somms is going to Avalon? And here I thought he preferred Sandy Hook for the nudie beach!

You just need help knowing who you're posting to, that's all.
Shira doth protest too much.
Has the weather gotten any better on your coast?

Here in D.C. it's mid 80s, very little humidy and a nice breeze. I'm leaving here early just to enjoy it.
Still winter in Seattle, though it seems we're in for major improvements starting tomorrow, and even hit 70 on Sunday. Finally!
I've not been outside, so I can't tell you.
It is nice here in SoCal.
Shira, how is your cold? Sounds like you have a wonderful roommate!
We moved past cold, past bronchitis, and now we're on to a virus. I do have a good roomie!
Why am I suddenly thinking of ALL ABOUT EVE?
I just came back from taking a walk outside - it's beautiful here today, similar to how Moony is describing DC.
Yuck -
Well, back to work for me, I just wanted to wave hello before getting back to the grind.
Get well Shira!
It's dark and rainy here. Downright depressing.

God, I feel so badly for you Floridians.
Not.
LOL, Moony.
D2, I'm highly jealous! Thanks YWIW!
"All About Eve" - D2, are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Only if you're casting yourself as Margo, darlink.
Fasten you seatbelts...
Just call me Birdie. Or Addison. Either/or fits.
You can be my Birdie.
Okay, enough. This convo could be misconstrued...

OK, so having insulted my buddy, let me share with you all a nice thing that has been happening over the last 24 hours.
Yesterday, while searching for a birthday gift for my mom I happened upon a site by a Canadian author who wrote a book about mothers and daughters. Interesting site - loved her daily essays on life. On one section of the site various women wrote tributes to their moms. Low and behold - there was one written about the woman who lived across the street from us when I was growing up! She and her husband raised 6 adopted children - the oldest two girls were my bestest buddies growing up and one of them had penned the tribute. All these childhood memories came flooding back. I practically lived at their house - except when we were all living at mine. I haven't seen anyone from the family since I went away to college - in the 70s. My folks moved to the Gulf Coast a week after I graduated. I left a message for my old friend, who emailed me back last night - incredulous and delighted that I had found her after all these years. We've been emailing back and forth, catching up on family news. So many years to cover...
This morning I heard from the woman who has the website - the mom who was my neighbor also happened to be her first cousin! She and I exchanged some emails and she wanted to know if she could quote me in an upcoming essay on women and relationships. I told her that I was rarely quotable so she better seize the chance while she had it.
Anyway.....nice surprise, nice reconnection and nice new connection.
Very cool, Moony!
That's lovely, Moony! That's the kind of thing that makes the internet so great.

That is loverly, moony.
I can second the thoughts about the wonders of the internet. In the past week I've found/gotten in touch with people from the West Side Story production I did in 1989 - what I consider to be the best summer of my life. This one guy I had lost touch with since 1990 I found online, and another guy and a gal are both successful actors in LA.
