G'morning
Our Tony party dwindled during the day from 8 guests to 2, but we had fun nonetheless.
I thought I saw Addy during the mashup, but I was laughing so hard I wasn't sure.
At NPH. Not Addy.
I still haven't dared to go to the mainboard to see the KINKY BOOTS vs. MATILDA meltdown...
Morning.
So. Exhausted.
But, so worth it.
We were seated in the row behind Audra McDonald, just to her left, so you can see me, for a brief moment, while they show her laughing.
We were directly behind Andrew Rannells and Jane Krakowski (stunning!), and we were right in front of David Hyde Pierce. We had Matthew Morrison on the aisle across from us, Nathan Lane two rows behind him. Mike Tyson was right in front of Matthew Morrison. Holland Taylor behind David Hyde Pierce... Tom Hanks was on the aisle of our row on the other end. Moony and I just kept smiling.
We were on the 'play' side of the stage, in the second row. Kind of wild.
I loved the opening! I don't know how it played on TV, but it was electric in RCMH. All in all, I thought it was a good show. I wish I'd had my Tivo add time, because the show ran long, so it cut off during the ONCE performance (which, truthfully, wasn't needed...). Good thing I know a few folks at CBS who can get me a copy of the full broadcast.
Happy Monday to all.
Back to the real world, for me... grind, grind, grind.

So I never posted in here because mominator said that I couldn't until I was over 21. I guess that I'm now I'm 24 I think I can post in here.
Glad you had fun at the Tonys Addy! I missed them because I was coming back from my Dad's house and Mad Men was on at 10. I watched some of the performances this morning. Matilda looks like a great show to take my eight year old niece to.
Well, I read it. And commented. Glad that's done.
Hi BGG!!
I read the Matilda Was Robbed thread earlier. I didn't think it was that bad.
I'm up to page 10 in the Official Tony thread. I don't think finebydesign liked anything about last night's broadcast. At least up to page 10, anyway. Unless I missed it. What a Debbie Downer that one is.

OK, so Moony just got home and watched the opening number on DRV. Ugh. Addy is stunning and I am....so not stunning. I almost didn't recognize myself - I looked that bad, Nice earrings, though. A friend says she saw us on The View this morning. No more clips, please. Let's just move on.....
If you don't even recognize yourself, I don't feel so bad for not seeing you!!

I'll probably get blasted, but I'm so over the rapping crap. Must they always use Lin Manuel Miranda now?

This might make you feel better, Moony: On Saturday I was mistaken for Frank DeCaro.
I called my trainer and a plastic surgeon immediately. And not necessarily in that order.
ETA: Girly, I'm not telling. But you're a sleuth, figure it out.
Fine. I'll wait until I get home, which btw, God knows when that'll be with this rain. Since I don't get out of here until 6:30 this week, I figure I'll be lucky to get home by 8ish.
Moony, who are the folks in the pit?

Moony, you looked beautiful. Your smile lights up a room!
Stunning has never been a word used to describe me, and I'm ok with that. It was a total thrill just to be there!
(Deet, I'll take the name of that plastic surgeon - my profile is a disaster!)
I have always hated, hated, hated any photo or video of myself, so naturally I despise all of the clips that show me. But, that doesn't dampen the memory of being there. And being in such incredible seats!!
BGG, it's so nice to see you post here! I've been thinking about you. *hugs*
Plum, it was so much fun. I also stayed up way too late, and this morning's alarm clock seemed to go off mere minutes after I turned off the lights - but I wouldn't have traded it for anything!
I can't wait to get home to watch my recording of it!
Brd, we saw PIPPIN on Saturday, and I loved loved loved it. I'm a PIPPIN nut, too. It was fantastic!
I'm not sure who the folks in the pit were... but I have to think they weren't just audience members, because you would have had to climb onstage to get out. But, I'm not completely sure.
Hope everyone got home safely in the rain. It can go away now!
Have a great night!
Yesterday was a public holiday. I had the Tonys on in the background while I putted around my desk in my jammies. I made sure to record the event - the Tonys, not the jammies. So, my pause button will get a work out while I seek our glamorous pair of audience members.
Addy, you have no concerns when it comes to profile. I have my great grandmother's nose. I really should return it.
Greetings from Atlanta. I only saw bits and pieces of the Tony's, but I liked what I saw. I was mentioning to someone on the plane that I had friends who attended, and she was rightfully impressed.
Off to get some homework done, but I just wanted to pop in and say Happy Post Tony's Monday.
I am late to the party, as usual, but I was just LOVING the opening number when I saw Moony's smile and it just made my night. It sure made me miss the framily!
The whole show just made me miss NYC. . I need some kinky bootlegs.
