I have another (extremely belated) B'day cake for you. I went off with two slices of the original. Sorry 'bout that. Anyway... Happy Birthday to you, dear Boobs.

G'morning!
Girly, it's like swimming through a sea of oil out there today. Yechhh...
We saw THE ASSEMBLED PARTIES on Saturday night. Throughout the play I kept hearing various members of my writing group saying things like "Lovely conversations, but where's the conflict?" "What are the obstacles?" "Where's the action?" etc...
Judith Light and Jessica Hecht, however, have two meaty roles and they are both extraordinary. Light completely deserved her Tony win, and I'm kind of flummoxed Hecht wasn't even nominated -- she's breathtakingly good.
And that set! Sweet Jesus! At least 7 rooms of a 14 room apartment on Central Park West that puts mine to shame. I'd move right in if I could. Even the constantly spinning turntable wouldn't stop me.
VANYA, SONIA, MASHA & SPIKE is next, on Thursday. Sorry Rath, I just couldn't wait for the new Monk to take over.

Rath reads this thread? Who knew?
Morning! Another soupy day. It rained on the way into the office and now the sun is out, causing steam to rise from the sidewalk and asphalt. And so it will go most of the day. I don't have the courage to look at the week-long forecast.
The weather is disgusting here as well. We don't do well living in an armpit.
On a happy note, two friends got married yesterday in SF. Weddings everywhere in LA. Our Mayor (who I am not a fan of) married two of the Perry Plaintiffs on Friday. The other two were married in SF.

Oh my, a Q sighting!
Exhausted from C17's graduation party! Very successful, but late night after days of preparation!
Not so crappy Monday - taking the rest of the week off!
My air conditioners all broke this weekend. All 3 of them within 30 minutes.
And by broke, I mean they leaked and ruined parts of my new hardwood floors.
I have neither the time nor the energy to deal with it. And sleeping in an unconditioned apartment was - and will be - unbearable.
I am in Chicago next week for the most important presentation of the year. I'll deal with it when I return.
*sigh*
Happy to be in the office today.
Other than that - happy Monday.

Oh Addy, book yourself a hotel room! The little sleep you get this time of year should at least be restful.
Counting down to Moony Day!...
Stopping by on my way to work to wish everyone a wonderful day. Stay cool.
Good morning, Addy. Howdy peeps, it's soupy ... again.
Hiya Sommsy!
Days like this, I don't mind the office!
Maybe not for 18 hours, but, it's winding down.
Ok, off I go. Time to make the doughnuts. Or sell a few McMuffins.
G'morning.
Morning peeps! I hope all is well. I had a very nice Birthday. Nice dinner with friends followed by my most favorite Birthday cake. HC must really love me being he had to go far out of his way to get the cake plus I know how expensive this bakery is. I'm a lucky man.

Well, he's lucky to have you to spoil!
Another drippy, soupy day here. We're all going to start growing mold on our north sides if this weather pattern keeps up.
Negotiating a hotel contract this morning, then having lunch with a friend. Trying to stay dry and cool in the meantime.
I'm going to swim. The chlorine may help with the mold.
I can't believe there was a tornado in NJ yesterday...

I've got mushrooms growing in the newly mulched gardens. Bleh.
Make a salad
Happy Day before early weekend.
I have been so busy, I feel like Addy.
Off to NY next week.
Orlando the week after.
Then hopefully home for a stint.
I need a nap! I woke up at 3 a.m. and couldn't fall back to sleep. I had that song "Broadway, here I come" stuck in my head. Damn you SMASH!!!!

I love the a capella version they did at the phony Tonys.
I might - just might - be in NYC on the 18th & 19th (or 19-20) on our way up to Maine. We're checking out the possibilities. Hubby wants to go to the Statue of Liberty when it reopens.
Nice to be able to say I can meet you for a drink being I once again work in the City
