G'morning.
Damn, Moony, I'll be in L.A. then. Oh well. Enjoy!
My travel schedule to Chicago for week after next is now up in the air, so there's a possibility I'll be in NY. Let me know what your plan is!
So, yesterday I was told that the way that we are going to present the information that I'm in Chicago next week to present is changing - and I basically have to scrap what I've been working on, around-the-clock on for the last couple of weeks, and start from scratch.
Apparently the person who shared this information has had this information for a while, but neglected to tell me. Even though the entire point of this meeting is for ME to share the Upfront content...
And, did I mention the meeting is on Tuesday, and I fly to Chicago on Monday... leaving me with exactly 1 1/2 business days to do what it takes weeks to do?
There goes my chance to rest over the holiday and regenerate the brain and body cells that have been depleted these last 2 months.
Blah, blah, blah... this is SO old. It's been more insane than ever this year. So. Done.
I want my life back. In a really big way.
So, the rest of you have to promise to enjoy yours for me
Other than that, wishing everyone a happy day-before-Moony day!!
Just saw the article about MY FAIR LADY returning to Broadway.
LOVE the idea of Bartlett Sher directing it! Something to look forward to!
Me too, Addy! LOVE the show, LOVE him, LOVE the idea of him directing the show! I almost don't care who's in it, although Ralph Fiennes would be (wait for it)... FINE.
I hate when people know something that will impact your life and sit on the information until the last possible minute. I do believe that comes under the jurisdiction of completely justifiable homicide.
Morning peeps!
Addy, when your work life slows down we need a Martini night! *hugs*
I love how people think Friday is a holiday too. Everyone saying "have a good weekend" this morning as we exited the bus. I wonder if they all saw me saluting them?
Yep, people are SHOCKED that I'm working on Friday.
HC took the day off thinking I was too. Silly boy! Poddie, 3 more days!
I believe "My Fair Lady" will be the next Framily show get together.

I guess I shouldn't tell you that we've decided to close on Friday. So I won't.
Addy, this job of yours is fabulous 10 months of the year, but then comes the up fronts. I have no idea how you deal with this and keep your equilibrium and/or sanity. I would have collapsed a long time ago.
Oh, and a soggy good morning to all who enter here!
Seriously when will we have a day without rain?
"Stupid, stupid rain..."
Anyone know what that's from?

Not me. We would have used the f-word.
Impromptu. I had to cheat, but I remember (and loved) the movie.
The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain!
I love that movie too, SoMMS. Such fun, and such a fabulous cast! I think that was the first time I saw Emma Thompson.
And Bernadette is wonderful, too.
Ahhhh my BFF

Ah, see, I never saw that movie. My culture ignorance shines through. Unlike the sun.
It's charming. Judy Davis plays George Sand, Hugh Grant plays Chopin, Bernadette Peters plays a bitchy, perpetually pregnant Countess who's involved with Franz Lizt, played by Julian Sands, Mandy Patinkin plays Alfred de Musset, and they all spend a rainy weekend at the country estate of a ditzy Duchess, played by Emma Thompson.
Directed by James Lapine.
Worth a look.
ETA: On another note, the fantasy casting for the aforementioned MFL revival is going full throttle on the mainboard; as usual, the lack of imagination is astounding. ( Although I agree Hugh Laurie would be a terrific choice for Higgins. )
Impromptu
I keep forgetting about that "Main Board"
Came home last night to a weeping HVAC unit. Le sigh.
Happy Holiday Wednesday Adults. I am taking Friday off, and we are closing early today - lots to do, lots to do!
The Exchange is closing at 1 pm today, but I still have to work. Hoepfully I'll get out before 5 at least

I'm ducking out of here @ 3pm today to get my hair cut. OK, cut and colored. Mostly colored.
Sun just popped out!

It would compliment my red eyes.
Good morning adults! Having a rare slow-ish day at work, hoping we'll get out at 3 or so as well. I was surprised to find out last week that we actually have Friday off, that never happened at my last job. I see kayaking in my immediate future.
