TGIF!
The week before a vacation starts is guaranteed to be the most stressful, insane week of the year. Argh!
I'm so disappointed I missed catching up with Boobs when he was in my 'hood yesterday! Damn meetings and client calls. (Don't they understand I'd rather have hugs?!) He had a beautiful day to sightsee.
Let's all make today a play day. K?
Happy Friday, my dears.

A break in meetings. Think anyone will notice if I run down the driveway screaming?
Just tell them there was cake at the end of the driveway. They'll understand.

I will have taken 8 days off in August, but none would really equal a "vacation".
Mooney - what did you do here during your visit?
This just made me laugh out loud!
I'm seeing Miss Diana Ross in concert at the Borgota on Sunday night. Mani-pedi's are scheduled at the Water Club along with pool time. See you on Wednesday!

LOL, cuz!
Brd - mostly stuff for "the wedding of the decade", but hubby and I did squeeze in one of those architectural boat tours of Chicago. Absolutely fascinating! The wedding over over the top.

I love those tours. Where was the wedding? Would be funny if Mrs. Brd's firm did the flowers!

If her firm did the flowers, they made a ton of money that weekend. The bride was given a $200,000 budget AND WENT OVER IT. The wedding was in Glenview and the reception was in Wilmette.
Oh - and important fact - there were SIX wedding cakes - each in a different flavor. I had the snickerdoodle (because I didn't know there was banana chocolate chip available).

Moony... that sounds like a dream event for you!

Oh it was, Addy. Hubby wasn't crazy about the dinner but I said, "There was food other than the cakes?"

'Morning!
Freshman Orientation today and tomorrow. 120 fresh, shining faces (and their parents for the first 45 minutes). Can't wait! Well, yes I can, but I'm smiling my way through the day!

Morning peeps! It's going to be a rough morning sifting through 3,553 emails. The only ray of sunshine is my boss is on vacation this week! That was the best news on this Monday morning when I walked in and he wasn't at his desk.
G'morning.
Welcome back, Boobs.
Thanks, Deet. It's good to be back...well on here anyway.

Sometimes I think we need a vacation from our vacations. There's no such thing as "easing in". I usually come into the office the day before I get back to work, just to get a handle on all the emails and piles of stuff in my inbox. I also put fresh flowers on my desk so I have something nice to greet me on Monday morning.
Agreed, Moony. I should try the flower thing or a box of chocolate.
Or, just a bottle of Scotch.
I actually have one in my office (I holiday gift) just in case...
Its Monday, pffffttttt.
Welcome back Boobs.
Thanks YWIW! You know I loves the Scotch
Well, after I was asked to submit to direct for the "professional" company and told "we look forward to seeing you at the interviews" I got an email yesterday telling me that the amount of submissions was overwhelming yadda yadda yadda and no interview. Right now not quite living up to the "professional" name.
Other than that, weekend was great. Had callbacks for Life is a Dream and we start production next week for The Brick and the Rose (I'm not directing, only producing.) Life goes on.
G'morning

Torrid is such a good word.
'Morning! Day two of orientation. So far no one has run away. The students are all still here as well.
Morning peeps! It seemed to be a quiet day on the adult thread yesterday. Either we're all busy or dead
G'morning.
Howdy Deet! Hope all is well.
