Hey DD! How are you hon? Things are slowly ramping up for me with the school year fast approaching. I spent the last two days at a Google Apps for Education conference and had my mind blown. It was amazing.

And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

First day of school. Been up since 3:30am. Getting a bit punchy and will need a nap this afternoon, but there's a Happy Hour at a local rum bar @ 4:00pm so I must set my alarm!

DD, Glass were amazing. I only got to play with them for a minute or so, but I really want them and I can see so many applications for authentic and engaging use in the classroom.
I spent too much time at that Google conference, there is so much I want to do to help my students grow using technology. I'm trying to convince my school to help me get more tech in my classroom, but there's no money for it right now. (Thus my Donors Choose post..shameless shilling, but I am getting a class that could really use the extra support that some of these iPad only apps can provide on top of regular and remedial support)
I always worried that Glass would interfere with normal sight and be distracting, but that's not the case at all. I just wish I could have worn my glasses with them. Fingers crossed for prescription compatible ones with the main stream release.

Kel - my son is bemoaning using his iPad at school. "Books are easier." I assume he will adjust. (I think he has impetigo in a few bug bites - off to the dermatologist today!)
