Congrats HEP!
Only tried to bail one client out, he stayed all night, so do not call me!
AWFUL trial this morning - HATEFUL asshole lawyer and his client will cry through all testimony.
Mrs. Brd back from trip. I noticed C15 was whiny this morning as opposed to none during her absence!
Damn -- Shira is just being so unreasonably intractable about that ring. I'm going to have to go out there and get it myself, I guess. Where's my hatchet?
Deet, a little Windex gets off very easily. I am serious about that too. A jeweler taught me that trick
Do I spray it directly into her eyes, or just in the general vicinity?
Happy Friday, kids. Seeing Miss Kathy Griffin in concert tonight.
It's also my high school reunion weekend. Of course, I'm not going. I didn't like most of them then, why would I like them now. They're combining four classes and calling it the 40th. I love that I was the youngest in my class of 800. I will kind of miss the gathering of our theater group the "Playmasters".

'Morning!
I went to be "so-called 40th" reunion a few months ago. Again, one of those events where they combined a number of classes. Only one of my drama buddies showed up, but I enjoyed reacquainting myself with others (I traveled in several different groups). I think Facebook has made that easier. We have a class page where people have been connecting in the past few years and we've gotten to know each other as middle-aged adults. If we hadn't done that, I wouldn't have gone either.
We also have a FB class page, a school page and I'm even on a junior high page. The people I liked aren't on any of them.

Wow! You shoulda gone to my school! I think you know where it is! Unfortunately, our Junior High is now some sort of Senior Citizen Center. No reunions happening there, although I understand they have wonderful staff and administrators.
I graduated High School and never went back. Anyone I wanted to stay friends with I did; anyone I wanted to reconnect with, I have via Facebook.
Kitchen plans are terrific -- we keep looking at them to find flaws, and can't.
Of course this time next year we'll be bitching "why didn't we think of that? Why did we do this?" But right now we're happy.
But I haven't told the planner that, yet. We're happy. Not stupid.
You crack me up, cuz!
To give an inkling about my class and this reunion. We were in high school during the height of desegregaton (NC wasn't compliant until court order in 1972). There were four high schools in the city (one in each quadrant) and they were known as "old money", "new money", "black" and "redneck". Almost all of us ended up being bused during that first year to one of the "other" schools to equalize things. I lived in "old money" and was sent to "redneck" for one year. Of course, "black" was bused to any of the other three. Teacher were all re-assigned. After the first year, the lines were readjusted (for all the reasons you'd expect) and I was sent back to "old money".
One of our classes cute, perky-nosed high school cheerleaders is heading up the reunion planning committee. While in HS she landed a two-year gig with "Up With People". You know her type. Yesterday, a classmate, who went to elementary, junior high and "old money" posted on our FB page that he had registered and was flying in for the reunion even though he had been redistricted for his senior year, and was a graduate of, "new money". He lived in the same neighborhood, went to the same schools and grew up with all of our "old money" class.
It seems that Miss Up With People had emailed him earlier this week in Argentina (where he now lives) to tell him that he could not attend as he was not a graduate of "old money" and that his check was being returned. Airline ticket and hotel room be damned, "You can't come!". He in turn, posted the story on the FB page.
Of course, all hell broke loose in his favor and the result is that he's attending. Oddly, (snicker) his post and all the of responses calling her and the committee out were removed from the page.
Here's the irony (Finally, you say!); her husband, who's going with her to the reunion, is a graduate of "new money".

I wonder how many people will say something to her at the reunion. What nerve! I graduated the year before busing started in Maryland, though we had a lively discussion about it on our hometown FB page recently. A poignant post was written by a man whose family worked and saved and climbed the ladder to get out of a "low income" part of the county so their kids could go to better schools. The next year busing was implemented. Guess where he and his siblings were bussed? Yep, back to the old neighborhood they had worked so hard to leave. Well intentioned motive with disastrous execution plan.

That is a crazy story. My grammar school, junior high school, and high school all have closed and do not exist.
I'm not even sure you exist, Brd, so that makes sense.
G'morning.
I am livid...LIVID!! I was in a good mood for a Monday morning, until I logged onto email and found out the bitch I'm covering for decided to extend her vacation another day, so once again I'm stuck covering for her. Does anyone realize I'd like to actually do my own job?? Surprise, I know.

Oh dear. This is pretty early in the day (and week) to be unleashing the girly.
Stormy weather moving in here today (not, apparently, related to Girly). We are under a tornado warning until 5:00pm. Toto and I are eyeing the exit door leading to the basement.

Bless them. Ask them if they can procure some Pumpkin Spice Lattes. The milk portion shouldn't be a problem.
Happy Monday Adults. I went to my reunion, but honestly, was not at a good place and it was one stressed-filled event. I did get to catch up with a few friends who I had not seen in a while.
Updated: UGH - mental blather.
Long story short the reunion was worth it for the couple of folks I got to see, while avoiding those I really did not want to catch up with.
