Happy 11/11
My nephew's 20th birthday!
A day to celebrate - and thank - all Veterans!
Elphaba is also a veteran.
Don't know about Boobs or anyone else.

I'm just a veteran of the arts. .
Seems a lot of weddings are happening tomorrow 11-12-13
Morning!
I had a nice lazy weekend and loved every second of it. Lots of football and books and italy planning.
Happy veterans day to all. My only living grandparent, my maternal grandfather, is a WWII vet, but I have not seen or spoken to him in many years.
Pretty much everyone I know has work today so traffic was normal. It'll be days like tomorrow morning that I actually am happy about my job and short commute - smallest bit of weather make people idiotic.

Tink - two tailgate parties and two games and much time examining high school state results and brackets! Much fun. Bears NOT SO MUCH!!!!!!!
I spoke with my 86 year old WWII vet father today. Very depressing, voice so week and memory issues. He did reminisce about how much he loved visiting Chicago. (sighs)

'Morning!
I keep scanning the skies for flurries. None yet, but the skies are dark and the temperature is dropping and the wind is picking up.
We welcome our accreditation visitors this afternoon at a reception we have to dress for the occasion. I'm in a dress and jacket. Oh, and "cocktail reception"? No cocktails. I hate these things anyway, but no wine? No me. Or, at least, no happy me.
Morning peoples.
There was nothing by me and then a few flakes came down when I was almost already at work. A few cars on the highway had snow coverage so it must have hit more west of me.
moony - sue for false advertisement!
I'm supposed to go down to Edison later for a Beer Senate event but we shall see how the day plays out.
Morning peeps! I got into a wet City with strong cold winds. By the time I got to my ofice the rain turned to snow flurries. Now it's just dark out there. Happy 11-12-13
Rainy snow here in NYC.
Happy 11-12-13. May it be a lucky day for all.
No wine at a cocktail event, Moony? That's not right.
Have fun at the beer event, Tink.
I have a 'jewelry-making' party tonight, which should be fun. Christmas gift ideas!
Rehearsal last night was great. Starting in on the next concert cycle and we had a few hours to rehearse with Ted - who is always so inspiring and gives us such creative ways to approach what we're doing. I missed my Monday nights SO much last year when I took a partial leave of absence. Never again!

I had dinner with two friends last night. We were celebrating one of the ladies' birthday - and she completely forgot about the dinner. I finally got hold of her at her home and, luckily, she hadn't eaten yet. She didn't get to the restaurant until after 8L:30pm so it was a late night for all. I'm beginning to feel it now, so maybe it's just as well that there's no alcohol this afternoon. Now if I could just find a quiet place to take a nap.
When you think about it - Kindergarten was probably the best year in our lives.
Snacks. Naps. Songs. Games. Spending the day with friends.
I miss nap time.
(but hope you had a fun time last night, Moony!)

I was fortunate to get out of pool leagues earlier than expected so a decent night sleep was had. I chickened out telling them I'm not coming back after this session though. ooops.
That sounds like fun, addy, and so glad to hear you have found your happy place again!
OMG. I really cannot take my ex-cellmate. I really wish you guys you could hear her day in and day out. I'm telling you I am definitely sunshine, lollipops and rainbows compared to her. She's frustrated about this place, and just doesn't give a crap anymore. I told her to leave me alone and stop IM'ing me and talking to me. She says this, "Nothing about this place is good for my health anymore. NOTHING."
THEN FREAKING LEAVE AND GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE ALREADY!!!

It is actually heating up on the left coast. I kind wish we had some cold, blustery weather.
Lots of drama at work. What was inconceivable a few weeks ago is becoming plausible.
Going up to see my sister for Thanksgiving, and then coming home to visit with a good friend who is in town for the holiday. Other than that, not much going on but work and cleaning up from kitty shenanigans.
Girly - it is terrifying to think of what it must be like if YOU are the sunshiny one.
I've noticed that I've been your ex-cellmate here lately (though hopefully not as bad) so have been trying to take a more proactive approach to internalize it more.
Thanksgiving for me is just mom & I at the diner. My dad's sister has been in a bit of a funk since my grandpa died earlier this year so I don't think she will be hosting for dessert this year. I've emailed/called a few local churches and volunteer organizations to see if they have anything going on that day - someone should benefit from my lack of holiday obligation - but so far nothing. I know of opportunities in seedier areas and longer distance, but trying to find local if I can. We shall see. Never thought it'd be so hard to volunteer.

BWG - Can I add! I just a few moments ago received an e-mail from a f***** old man that needs to get the FPPP out of here! Seriously, guess what - NOBODY IS HIRING YOU LEAVE!!!!!!!
Having released, Tink that is too bad. This is actually a superstar T-Day - my sister and my kids favorite cousins are going! My father is in terrible shape, so I am sure will will cherish the day with him!

So happy I took Thanksgiving week off this year. We always spend it with my younger brother. I do Christmas at my house. HC's mom is joining us for Thanksgiving this year. My sis-in-law always invites her being she lives only a town away. She is so excited and is looking forward to it. I guess when you're 87 years old any day out is exciting. She keeps reminding HC that she's making Mac & Cheese (my request)and a peach cobbler. She bought, peeled and froze the peaches over the summer when they were in season. She's so funny. I'll have to invite her to one of our Framily gatherings, so can witness first hand her antics.

We will be having our annual shindig at the other sisters, as usual. The only new development is that youngest nephew has decided to take over cooking (brine-ing) the bird. Old Fogey has ALWAYS had this job. I'll be found drinking good wine in a dark, quiet corner.
That's my next week off. Can't wait. I have no idea what my Thanksgiving plans are yet. The past 3 years my cousin's daughter wanted to have it, except last year her mother took it on, cause her son's family was going to be in from CA. So I don't know if it's reverting back to Siobhan or what.

I took Thursday and Friday off this week.
I had to. The insanity is taking over...
I plan to spend Thursday in a dark corner by myself.
Friday will be a day of personal productivity.
I'll be with my Mom for Thanksgiving.
