G'morning.

Email drama all day yesterday with my students wondering if I was going to cancel my class this morning because of the snow...

Until I found out they have a major deadline in their afternoon class today and were hoping I'd cancel.

Hehehehehe... Kids...

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

I need to read back to see what I've missed.
Deet, your story made me laugh. Kids. Of all ages! I see the same shenanigans with people who are old enough to know better!

Lots of 'office politics' right now. I'm just sitting back and watching. Somebody in a senior position resigned, and suddenly there are whispery gatherings in various parts of the office as people gossip about who might take over. I have zero interest in office gossip. Never have. And especially not now.

We're also moving to another floor next week, so that's another source of gathering whispering groups. Who gets which office, etc etc etc. Again, while I hope whichever office space I'm assigned to is decent, I just don't get worked up about those details. It is what it is. I spend my time and energy fighting with finance and management to get my team raises.

Just got invited to Napa for a weekend. Hmmmm. SO tempting!

I also float above fray at work. While it causes me to be out of the loop sometimes, the benefits to my mental health and well-being more than compensate!

I never leave my cubicle during the day, and yet people come to me in droves with office chit chat that I DO NOT want to hear.
The way things are going around here, I just might look into retiring at the end of the year.

I was so bored yesterday, when we had the snow day, that I actually thought to myself, "If I ever retire, I'm going to have to get another job. Not working is the pits!"

On another note...i made a suggestion to someone who cried out for help on a matter, a solid suggestion that would solve their issue. Not an acknowledgement or a "thank you." Makes one ask oneself, "why bother."

I have a pension, and if I work another 7-8 years, I should be OK.

Raining here in SoCal, so the commute will be horrific.

SoCal - where a single drop of rain can cause a 10 mile backup.
