Bleh is right, SOMMS. Nothing worse than facing a backlog of work when you still fell pooky. Take it slow and easy.

Pouring rain here, too. At leat it's not freezing rain like last week.

Girly - it's not just the noise - the dust can get to you as well! Go out for a looooong breakfast. And maybe lunch.

And afternoon tea.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Morning peeps!

Tonight the boys are coming over with 5 friends. They requested vodka sauce...surprise! Hopefully 3 pounds of Rigatoni will be enough for 9 of us. Last night I made a coconut cake with a lemon/coconut glaze for dessert. Hopefully it taste as good as it smells.

Only a few years away for our girls! Mrs. Brd did have a drink with C19 at a college bar in the Fall!

I think we should open a Framily Bakery.

Boobs can Bake.

I can create and write our Marketing Materials/Advertising.

SoMMS can be our Sales Manager.

Tink can create our Sales Sites.

Girly can be our Customer Satisfaction Rep.

YWiW and Brd can be our Legal Representation.

And Moony? Quality Assurance, of course!

In Ohio? Bullsh!t.

From the OSU website:

Underage consumption, purchasing or possession of alcohol:

The legal drinking age in Ohio for consumption of an alcoholic beverage is 21. Purchasing, possessing or consuming alcohol prior to your 21st birthday is a first-degree misdemeanor. The maximum penalties associated with this offense are six months imprisonment or a $1,000 fine or both. A 20-year-old student, therefore, risks being imprisoned and fined when he/she decides to drink alcohol at a party or elsewhere.

Providing alcohol to an underage person:

A person who furnishes alcohol to an underage person is guilty of a first-degree misdemeanor. The maximum penalty associated with this offense is six months imprisonment or $1,000 fine or both. A social host, therefore, risks being fined and imprisoned when he/she furnishes alcohol to a person who is not 21 years of age. Keep in mind that the bigger your party is, the more people there that you don't know, the greater the chance of getting caught and/or charged.

If you're interested in why this is the case and what alcohol consumption does to brain cell development in humans under 21, visit the Community for Concern (http://www.thecommunityofconcern.org/science/effects_brain.asp) or look at the Duke University study on underage drinking and the brain. "Underage" is defined as under 21.

There are few issues that boil my blood quicker than this one.

Mooney - I am not arguing with you on that point. One of her friends has been in serious trouble because of alcohol.

The statute states:

(A) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, no person shall sell beer or intoxicating liquor to an underage person, shall buy beer or intoxicating liquor for an underage person, or shall furnish it to an underage person, unless given by a physician in the regular line of the physician’s practice or given for established religious purposes or unless the underage person is supervised by a parent, spouse who is not an underage person, or legal guardian.

(B) No person who is the owner or occupant of any public or private place shall knowingly allow any underage person to remain in or on the place while possessing or consuming beer or intoxicating liquor, unless the intoxicating liquor or beer is given to the person possessing or consuming it by that person’s parent, spouse who is not an underage person, or legal guardian and the parent, spouse who is not an underage person, or legal guardian is present at the time of the person’s possession or consumption of the beer or intoxicating liquor.

Lovely. They must have trusted that most parents are educated on the matter and know better. Some aren't.

It is a rare provision and I am sure there are moves to revise the statute.

We have been very very lucky with C19 and C17 - NO alcohol issues in all of their teen years. (Knock on teeth!)

Yikes! Late to the party!

I'm still giggling over the thought of Girly as a customer service rep. A whole play could be written around the notion.

Quiet day here for once. We have 12 students from France visiting here today. For some odd reason they all speak (flawless) English with a British accent. Sacre!

Decided to take a sick day today. Going in yesterday was a huge mistake. Plus, I miss our always dull, always a waste of time office meeting. Yay!

Found my entire freaking family lineage on the Isle of Jersey back to 1600's. Thank you wife of 2 times removed second cousin!
Now I just need to get them all recorded on Ancestry.
