I see a lot of Cs being earned this fall. AKA "The Suicide Grade."
Seriously, one of the students who earned a C last semester quit the program she was so upset.
A frickin' C.
They'd be thrilled to get a D from me, based upon what you've posted.
Don't mess with Professor D2!!
Is it 5 yet? I want to wear my costume already......
It's 5:00 in Paris, Tink. Close enough.
SoMMS -- a D requires too much paperwork.
Cuz's train should be passing by my office any minute now. WAVES!!!
Opening line of new piece (working title: AND THE ASIAN TOOK THE BABKA):
"There's no booze. Can you believe it?"
"How could the tropical section be empty?"
As if.
No, this one is about the Shiva last night.
And remind me to tell you (privately) about the title.
Just think - in about 5 weeks I will get to hear some of these stories in person!
It's 5p.m. and tropical somewhere in the world. Here, though, it's 8:45 and overcast.

Look what I found, lingering in the middle of page 2!
I woke up at 7:15 and it looked like midnight outside. There's dark and then there's really, really dark. So far, just heavy rains, no wind.
Don't know why there's no sun up in the sky...stormy weather...
No rain yet, but the wind is really picking up here. It's so eerie outside with very little traffic, the park closed and so few people on the street. I took Max out about an hour ago -- the wind scared the crap out of him so once he did his business (in record time) he turned right around and headed back inside.
My dear friends, please, please, PLEASE take care. This is no time to take a tour of Coney Island or the Jersey Shore. I'm sending you many hugs... and a large umbrella.
Morning!
It's pretty windy in these parts so far.
I love having the ability to work from home most days, except today. I want to be back in bed.
Hep, thanks for the big umbrella!
It's very eerie. Quiet streets and the wind is picking up like crazy.
As rare as it is to lose power in the city, I have a hunch it could happen.
I know mom is ok where she is, but I wish, wish, wish, she was here with me!! I am mostly worried about not being able to reach her if something happens. *wears worry hat*
I hate this.
I've been in close touch with all members of my team, making sure they're staying safe. We have a new member of the team who just graduated from college and moved to NY. I feel like her mom - I want to make sure she's ok in this city she doesn't know well yet. She actually lives in an area that is on the border of an evacuation area, so I'm anxious to hear from her today. Mother hen wants to gather all her chicks around.
Stays safe, all! xo

Thanks, Hep! You could pull a "Mary Poppins" with that umbrella today.
I wish I could work from home today. I have so much to do before I fly down to see my mom on Thursday morning. There's no way I can handle everything on Wednesday - lots of deadlines looming!
On a more joyful note, what a wonderful weekend in NYC! Sis was fun to be with (who knew?), great food, fun shows and FRAMILY time!!
Moony, please don't do anything to risk life and limb to get to the office!
Loved the weekend, and so so so glad you and sis had a wonderful time together! Loved meeting her! Hope it's the start of a new and happy chapter for you both.
Great Framily time! Much needed!
It was wonderful to see everyone!
J2 went in this morning, but is planning to leave at noon.

Addy - a great time, wasn't it? And we'll do it all again in a few weeks - with YWIW!
Wow - within the last 15 minutes the rain has really picked up. It's pounded dowmn on the roof. I wouldn't mind if the wind stays away.
Smart.
I see people walking in the neighborhood - but most of the stores and shops in my area have signs posted and look closed. (From what I can see from the vantage point of my windows). As the day progresses, and the wind gets worse, we all need to hunker down.
Thinking about all of you. <3
and the rain has caught up to the wind. boo.
Raining here now, and Max is getting restless. He's sensing something and is alternating between being very clingy and wandering around the apartment like he's looking for a place to hide.

We still have only a light breeze, which is strange since the storm is now directly off the Maryland coast. I might run down to the office to pull the company credit card. I have to order a ton of stuff for next week's Homecomning Week.
Really, Moony? Please be careful.
