G'morning.
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Hi guys! Very kind of you to think of us.
Brd - we never lost power. The lights blinked and dimmed a few time, but even the cable stayed on, which is unusual. Subway and buses will resume service @ 2:00pm, on a limited basis. We're just really, really, really wet.
Just heard from SOMMS - no trees or branches down in his yard (two down across the street) but still no power.

I just got my internet back...
My power was restored during the day, and I had a rather productive day doing things that don't require being plugged in. Refreshing. I also took a nap.
My office is still closed, as lower Manhattan remains without power, so I shall attempt to do what I can from home. Our server and systems are still down, so I don't have much access to the files I need. Still, phone calls can be placed.
I've learned that one of the homes destroyed in the fire in CT belonged to my mom's friend. And I learned that one of the homes destroyed in the fire in Breezy Point belonged to the father of a colleague. It's hard to imagine such loss. But, in both of those cases, lives were spared.
I am craving a return to normalcy.

It is complete and total gridlock outside my apartment, as I live near the cross-section of major transportation routes.
And sirens keep wailing on emergency vehicles trying to get by.

My office is still without internet, so other than my phone e-mail makes it pretty impossible to work. My town is still under a driving ban.

We just got internet service back up at work. What a crazy day here - compounded by the fact that I'm leaving town early tomorrow morning. I'm playing catch up from the past two days while trying to work head for the next two days.

Peep, peep! One FROZEN peep reporting for duty. This has gotten beyond ludicrous! I scream and yell every time I have to pass the tree that took the lines down. There has not been an electric company truck in our town for four days. NONE, ZIPPO, NADA, NIET!!! Now they are telling me midnight tonight. I DON'T BELIEVE THEM. Thankfully, I'm away for the weekend. The hotel is going to lose all of it's hot water from the three hour shower I'll be taking when I check in!
