Yeah, damn Obama! I missed Cyndi, too. It comes on again at 8 on NY55.
Just go the inspection report on my unit. 6 items requested, only two of which are close to costing more than $50. Good news. Hopefully, she will just take credits, and then it looks like we are good to go!
That's really fab, YWiW. What a boring episode this would be if it were on HGTV!
At this point, I would rather be a bit generous in credits and let her fix what she really wants. A few hundred bucks here or there really do not make a difference since I have owned the place for so long.
That's wonderful, YWIW!
Hey D2 I hear the cast of your new show is SO CUTE
Where'd you hear that, Harris?
Offered $2K in credits, and some materials I have from the remodel. Hopefully this will do the trick. I could probably repair if for 1/2 the price, but I would rather not deal with the headache or the liability.
D2 - I read the review of your new production. Very good buzz!
The "official" press nights begin tomorrow evening, with "the big one" coming on Thursday night. The entire run is over halfway sold out already, and the word of mouth is fabulous. Fingers crossed for good reviews - that would be the icing on the cake.
Tonight is a benefit performance - I'm killing time here until it's over and then I have to "work" at the post-show dinner. But my friend Joy is in the audience and will be at my table so it should be fun.

All this good news for framily members makes me giddy with happiness
I thought all this giddiness was from lack of food. Silly me.
What is even more sappy is that the woman buying this seems like a perfect fit for the complex, and I am glad that someone will actually be able to make it a home.
If all goes through, I am actually thinking of leaving her a bottle of champagne as a housewarming gift.
I am just silly that way. If it falls out of escrow, then I will need the bottle myself!
"If all goes through, I am actually thinking of leaving her a bottle of champagne as a housewarming gift."
And that's just ONE of the reasons I love you!
I still love you, You.
And with that, it's almost intermission (7:00 curtain tonight.) Gotta go "work" the crowd.
'latah!

I have a friend who left champagne for the new owners and another one had champagne left for her. Great idea.

I think it's a great idea to have champagne EVERYWHERE!
I'll drink to that!
YWIW, congrats on the good news with the sale of your condo!
And, I totally get what you wrote about thinking the woman buying your place is the perfect fit... when I sold my previous co-op, I was excited to be moving to a new place, but nostalgic about the home I was moving away from. I loved the young woman who was buying it, and that made everything feel just 'right'. I left the apartment absolutely sparkling clean, and left a bottle of champagne in the 'fridge.
It was my 'farewell' to a place I loved, and a happy way to pass it on to someone else to love.
Good karma.
I totally believe.
Congrats, again!

*sigh*
BrotherQ is having one of the moments where he realizes that John Lennon was right - life IS what happens while you make plans.
He's fine, but what he thought was going to be reality for him right now just exploded in his face, and he's scared, vulnerable, and alone.
But he reached out to me, and all WILL be well - because big brothers are really good at making things ok.
My heart's breaking a little bit for his pain, but I know that it's all just more steps on the journey - dammit.
Thank goodness for scotch and love - not necessarily in that order

Please send Brother Q my love and best wishes, Q.
Thanks, Harris - I get it now. Cute.

You know what isn't helpful after a stressful evening dealing with family matters? An explosive argument brought on by petty selfishness of your husband's.
Just saying.
F*CK!!!!!
