Is she cooking?
If she is, it was nice knowing you.
No worries Q, I know a great heart doctor
I have a sneaking suspicion, though, that Q isn't really going there for Paula. Or the food.
Unless the sons count as food.

Let's just say that, by the end of the event, I WILL know for certain whether or not Bobby frequents the Atlanta leather bars (as oft rumored.)
I don't doubt that for a minute, Q.
Okay, so I just had an infuriating and frightening experience. One of my co-workers and I were on our way to SBs for our afternoon coffee break, and as we were going to cross 35th Street the light changed red. We stopped, like most people did, and this lovely woman who was crossing to our side of the street just about made it when this kid darted out, pushed her out of the way and just barely missed being hit by a truck that was roaring down the street. The poor woman was almost hurled into the truck but someone caught her just in time. The kid just kept skipping down the street, laughing and totally unconcerned. While I would not have wanted to actually see that kid rammed by the truck, I wouldn't have minded reading about it later. Infuriating.

Hold old was said kid?
I'm afraid I would have chased him down.
It's kind of amazing I'm still alive.
For a GREAT number of reasons!
Late teens/early 20s. Typical of the neighborhood.

I'd have ended up in prison - but probably to the applause of onlookers.

D2, that is a ridiculous story, I was at the bus stop (not the Inge play)and a woman was nearly hit by a car pulling out of a driveway. It was scary enough that we all broke the bus stop silence code and talked about what a bitch the driver was!
Back from a really lovely lunch at Ciudad (owned by the "Two Hat Tamales" ladies).
I could get used to these leisurely 2-hour lunches with visiting attorneys.
It is Restaurant Week here. A good time to get a nice lunch.
And D2, part of me would have like to see him tripped with a face plant on the concrete.
I like Ciudad, and also Border Grill in Santa Monica. And I LOVE the Two Hot Tamales - they were part of the Food Network when it was less polished, a little rag tag and infinitely more entertaining than it is now. I miss them.

I would assume that one of the hearts in SOMMS collection says "NEXT!"
Border Grill is one of my favorite local restaurants. A little loud when full, but the food is always great (as are the Margaritas)!
Years ago I took counsel to BG and one of the Tamales was in the house - she signed a book for his wife! And my first date with my last serious boyfriend was there as well.
Joes on Abbot Kinney is also a great local restaurant, especially for brunch.
Let's go to Border Grill when we're out there, YWiW!
Hey, all.
Will do!

Please forgive/ignore the following short rant . . .
You all know how I 'love that man of mine' - BUT, NOTHING aggravates me more - NOTHING!!! - than to be in the middle of something that I have done for YEARS (without assistance, comment or question, mind you,) only to have him appear out of nowhere - and while WATCHING ME! - start to offer suggestions on how to accomplish the task at hand.
Damned retirement.
It's a good thing I love him with all my heart, otherwise, I might end up beating him to death with my broom!
I seem to be referrencing 'beating' a lot lately. I need to get away from that - or, at least, think about beating other things
