I know, Girly - and Joe started that thread as a joke.
Nope, no chuckle.
I know, Deet. I almost did, but when I went over, I saw he had already.

Well-heeled? Deet, darling, don't MAKE ME bring out the stiletttos.
Shira, just don't. I'm older and I have more insurance.
Damn. I know you have better lawyers too.
I hate not winning.
OH MY GOOD GOD!!!

Girly, I saw that too. Awesome.
It is now pouring here in LA, with hail and thunder and lightning. Bleech.

No way Jose! I have been stuck in one Blizzard while in Boston - that was more than enough for my weak-weathered will!
Us babies here in SoCal see a little drop of rain, and our freeways implode and we go on "Storm Alert". Real weather might just accompany the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse! We don't do well with reality-based weather here.
Stay safe and warm.

Awww, come on - I'll throw in a free snow shovel.
Better idea: let's all go visit Hep in summertime Australia.

Excellent idea! And then, I could take in some rugby. And by 'take in', of course I mean . . . well, I'll assume you know what I mean

I SWEAR there is something in the water 'down under'!
When I was at the Grand Canyon, we'd have busloads of them come through every week. All of them in their 20's, gorgeous, and able to party all night and do some SERIOUS hiking all day.

Re: weather
OBVIOUSLY, there's no comparison between being snowed in and some rain. HOWEVER, what we're getting out here is VERY odd!
In our city, the average yearly rainfall is 14.77 inches. As of yesterday, we have already had 7.28 inches. And it's been raining all day.
For Christmas, my BFF gave us a rain guage for the garden, which we all laughed about, because 'it never rains in Southern California'. And then I put it outside, because it was kind of pretty.
Now I'm wondering if she bought it off of a VooDoo priestess!
The weather's intense these days.
The man you posted, Q? I'm speechless.

His name is Berrick Barnes, a vice-captain of an Australian rugby team (the Wallabies, obviously.)
Google image him - you won't gain any of your speech. Trust me.
