Right on cue!
G'mornin', All!
It's 58 and windy here. Just reporting, not complaining.
Yes, one for play!!
The boss is not even on our work IM yet. HRMPFFT!!!
Hey, Tink. Surprisingly, when I opened the front door to check out the snow sitch, I saw the plow HAD been by, and when I went to close the door, it was coming back up the street. My side streets are NEVER plowed this early.

Shamey snuck in there!
Boss is on IM now, and two seconds after he logged on, he IM'd me to say Good Morning and see if I was at home. Yeah right. I went out in this mess to a building that's closed except for essential personnel. Cute way to find out if I'm sitting here.

I'm going to pretend that breakfast is french fries and coke.

Churros and chocolate. I'll bring some chocolate to dip in the chocolate.
Damn, now I want a Boston creme donut. Or 6.
I thought they were churros, but they didn't look like the ones I had in Disney, so I wasn't sure. Churros in chocolate?! OMG! I've never had that. I LOVE churros!!

We watched a show on the Food network last night that featured this doughnut inspired muffin - and both the TinMan and I almost crawled into to TV to get at them. They looked incredible!

The ones we saw looked the the ones under the chocolate covered ones in that line-up. As soon as they came out of the oven, they brushed them with melted butter and then rolled them in a cinnamon/sugar mixture - which they said gave them a 'crispy/sugary' exterior.
I want one now - or several, actually!

No donuts this morning, I bought some horsefeed fiber hot cereal at Whole Foods. 10g of fiber.
We had about 10 inches of snow. The side streets are awful. C16 was cussing about going to school. C11 is off for the day.
I am going to visit my sister this weekend. The cancer has spread to bone so radiation and more chemo. The doctor remains optimistic.
Hey peeps! Anyone want some snow? I am boxing it and will ship any where in the Continental U.S.

brd - travel safely. I'm sure having you show up will be a big boost to her morale. All the best to you and yours as she fights on.

No thanks, Boobs, I'm good for the next decade.
Brd - sorry to hear the news about your sister but I'm glad her doctor is optimistic.
Good thoughts and prayers for her, brd!
Cleaned off the car, moved it for them to finish snowblowing for now, went out front and did the steps and walkway. Mailman came by as I was out there, nothing for me, though.
Now back inside having some hot chocolate in my stoneware Dunkin' Donuts mug. Always have to have it in that. And always after shoveling.
ETA: WTF am I clicking on that's making that damn couple come out on my screen and talk about St. Lucia?!
Oh, and Michael Buble is on Ellen this afternoon!!
Loved my tomato coat in this weather.

Yes, what up with St. Lucia? I need to change my pop-up setting!
C11 and I shoveled for about 1/2 hour, tonight we will start clearing out the spots on the street.

I'm not seeing anything about St. Lucia. I guess I don't get a tropical vacation.
Well this is just f*c*ing ridiculous - only three of us are here and there's NOTHING going on. Everything I needed to get done is done, and I am outta here. (And truthfully it all could have waited until tomorrow. JFC!)
Brd, I heard something about an earthquake in Northern Illinois this morning? What's up with that?

D2 - Mrs. Brd and I did not feel it, but my secretary felt it. C16 thought it was another reason to cancel school. She said. "All this snow AND an earthquake and we have school!"

D2 - the New Madrid Faultline, which runs kind of north-south between St. Louis and Memphis, is considered one of the worst in the world - causing many violent quakes over the last 15,ooo years at least. And there's an entire system of deep faults throughout the midwest tied to that main line.
They're theorizing at the moment that these might be aftershocks triggered by the Haiti quake, because the faults are so deep, and linked to other deep faults over great distances.
