Good morning all!
Happy day after the snow. Hope all the eastern adults are all shoveled out with no injuries to report.

Posted: 2/11/10 at 8:46amYou handlin' it alright there, Tink? Did you find a cute boy to shovel for you?
#1602Betty White Thursday
Posted: 2/11/10 at 8:57amI'm ok. My ankle and leg are a bit sore but otherwise ok. Nope, no cute boys to shovel. While those things would be nice, I am so accostumed to just doing the manual labor on my own my whole life (even when i had a cute boy) that i just go and do it.

Why is it Betty White Thursday? Is she doing something today?
We have a delayed opening, and I sent my boss an e-mail telling him I'd be later than the "official" opening. He told me to work from home, since he was.
The end of the driveway is a mess, and we only got to the front steps/walkway once yesterday, so that is definitely a must do.

Why is it Betty White EVERYTHING now? I'm just goin' with the flow, Girly.
I had thought of making it Betty Whiteout Thursday, but I was afraid I'd run the risk of everyone thinking she'd kicked it.
Or was out of the running for SNL.
Either way, the hysteria would have been unbearable.
So thus it's only Betty White Thursday.

'Mornng, all!
Shoveled out for an hour and it doesn't even look like we mage a dent. This is discouraging. I might walk out to the store later today - just to see how the main roads are.
Tink and Girly - how much did you get in NJ?
Deet - are you going in today?

I'd hazard a guess at about 15-18, but I didn't measure, so...
I hear the snowblower out there again. Hope they're down by the end of the driveway with it. I'm not really looking forward to shoveling that mess.
Hmmm, Deet. Those look SOOOOOOOOOO good!!

It was hard to measure here because of the drifts, but I'd guess 16 - 19.
My lord! A snow plow just came by!!

Moony, go look at page 5 on the Snowed In thread. I posted some pics of this dude on the back street trying to get a car unstuck.
The drifts were crazy!!

Hey peeps! I made it to work today. I think I had about 22 inches....it snowed until Midnight by me. I swear I shoveled at least 4 times yesterday and still had to shovel at least 2 - 3inches this morning off of my driveway. Boobs is in pain today! I want to find out where those bastards, who plow the streets live. They plowed me in everytime after I shoveled. I am going to their house and plop snow in their driveways after they clean...see hwo they like it. They piled snow about up to my waist that I had to clear this morning. 30 minutes for just that!!! The roads weren't that clean either. Seems they ran out of rock salt with the snow from aslt weekend. Even the parkway had some rough spots. Oh well, I am here and am alive, so I can't complain

Posted: 2/11/10 at 10:06amNow you just have to repeat the journey to get home tonight. I hope the plow doesn't close off your driveway during the day.

Moony, they're afraid that we're going to get black ice tonight....oh the joys of winter! I doubt they're going down my street again today with the plows. Hopefully they'll go through with the rock salt....if they find any. I need some for my drievway...anyone have some they can ship me? Shames, do they carry that down by you?
#1620Betty White Thursday
Posted: 2/11/10 at 10:18amBoobs, better come up with something else. I'm sure those creepers use those plows to take care of their own and friends. There ya go! Make friends with the plow drivers!!

Posted: 2/11/10 at 10:29amYes, Boobs. It's always good to have a friend who plows.
#1622Betty White Thursday
Posted: 2/11/10 at 10:30amI park on the street so yeah, I got plowed back in this morning, but i was too lazy to shovel out, so I just kept reversing and gunning the engine and eventually slid my way out. The roads by my job were actually the worst this morning, but with the sun shining, most of it is all melted down now. Hopefully my space will be in better condition at home by later.

The storm drains in our development are all under 3 feet (at least) of snow and ice. When this stuff melts, I'm afraid the water is just going to collect in a huge pool on the street, then freeze during the night. Over and over and over again.
By the way - where IS Shamey? Still digging out?

I'm here! Howdy!
B, I have no idea if we carry rock salt, but unless it has other uses, I'm guessing no.
It was 45 here this morning.
