We have a wall of bookcases, mostly religious studies in both languages. We had some of the same books. She let her brother have a 100% off shopping day before my stuff arrived. We still use every available inch and have a couple of boxes in storage. Her father, to whom we're no longer speaking to for outting us to members of er mother's church, gave her a gift certificate to a bookstore because of our "obvious love of books.". I am waiting to see if she buys more books or rips it up...lol.

Oh, I'm way too far gone for that!
We have a wall of bookshelves in our guest room - which I've augemted with temporary shelving. Then there's the wall of cases in my office. And the Dining room, which has two walls lined with cases, mixing china and books. Then there're the two walls of cases in the TinMan's 'zone' (as we call it). Which isn't taking into consideration the stacks of books that are literally in every room of the house.
At last count (which is awhile ago,) we have in excess of 2500 books in this house.
And if ANYONE tries to remove any of them, I can't be held responsible for my actions.
But, come to think of it, I refuse to be held accountable for ANY of my actions, so I guess that's a moot point!
If feels like February - brrrrr.
I set my books free once I read them - (which is one reason I have not bought a Kindle). Usually, I pass them along to friends and family so they can be enjoyed again by others!
It actually rained this morning. What kind of weather is this?
I like that idea, especially, considering that I rarely read anything twice.
It's only 81 here right now. It's a cold front.

A local library was my santuary when I was growing up. Then, they became my 'churches'. My whole adult life has been about creating one for myself.
And they are used. A lot.
I refuse to give up my books but then it actually hurts me to know that they are all sitting boxes right now. Catch 22. One day my home will have a huge library to store them all in.
It is I think 106 degrees out today. Not nice.
Ok, drugs, feel free to kick in anytime now.
Mornin'
Another hot one.
Have the porters picked up your steamer trunks?
Not yet.
Moring peeps!

LOL Q, sounds like me about my CDs and DVDs
Seeing "South Pacific" with the family tonight. Their gift to me. I'm praying we get a little breeze later because hell hath no fury than my EX wife in heat!
Morning.
I'm hiding at work. We lost power at 9 last night and it still hasn't come back. Needless to say there was no sleeping for Tink last night and was just a miserable experience. So I actually had to come to work just for the AC. I'm like mush on my desk right now, lol.
Tinky I am sorry to hear that. Would it help to know that I had electricity, but my air conditioner decided it doesn't like to work on hot days? At least I had the ceiling fans

My air was going full blast and you still couldn't tell it was on. I slept in the basement and had the fans going in the rooms.

Oh my, Boobs. Oh my, oh my.
Popping into the office before heading out to my friend's funeral. I served as a greeter at the wake yesterday - 6 hours in heels really tore up my feet. I'm in flip flops right now and I'm not changing back into heels until the very last moment.
Moony, I am assuming that was for the article? LOL
Sorry again about your loss. I'd wear those heels for you if i could to cause you less pain my friend.

Actually, it was in response to the comment about your ex, but it works well for the article, too.
yea Moony, my EX has been known to throw things and scream in hot weather. Luckily she never came to visit me in Singapore. Imagine the worst horror flick demon you ever saw and multiply it by 10...yup that's pretty much the look she has in this heat. NOT pretty! They better have the aircon in the theater blasting or she'll be pushing Nelly out of the shower on stage to cool herself off!

And we wonder why that marriage didn't last.
Well, actually, we don't wonder all that much.
LMAO! Nope.
Mornin'!
HAHAHAHAHAHA
Morning LS...I hope you slept well. *hugs*
Hey B!
I did! And, in the bed too!
It's good to sleep in your bed...less aches and pains in the morning.
