Hey Kids!
BB, what are you so jolly about?

"I won't be here most of the morning, either. I'm off to court to dispute a ticket. If I lose and they throw me in jail, I hope they have an internet connection. "
geez, moony, am i you but only three weeks behind? i just received a traffic citation 20 minutes ago for "rolling" through a stop sign. i'm gonna fight it too. let me know if you have any tips, tricks, or whatnot.
the cop said that you cannot roll through a stop sign just because the car in front of you stopped. my question to her, "there was a car in front of me?"
either i slept through it or i'm being set up. (and, no, my being guilty is not a possibility....) shows me right for stopping to get farewell balloons and flowers for a departing coworker.
karma, you ma'am are a bitch.bastard.

Boobs -
I really did have a wonderful time - but those Ruby Slippers were just killing my feet!
And the TinMan sends hugs and kisses - after I got my share FIRST, mind you

Back from court. I didn't beat the rap (dirty coppers)but the judge agrred that there were extenuating circumstances and cut the fine down to $25.00 and court costs. I get to the cashier to find that the court costs bring my payment up to the original amount of the fine. Add the $5.00 parking garage fee and I lost money, but saved my stellar reputation. Well, I lost that, too, so screw it.
Robb - three guys in the courtroom tried to get out of "California roll" stop violations. They all lost and had to pay those damn court costs on top of their original fine. You might want to save your court appearance for something bigger....like manslaughter.
Off to class.

I got a subpoena a few months ago as a witness to an accident. And, I sat there in the front row for two hours. Nobody who defended themselves got off without fines and court costs.
I swear, the judge was annoyed by people who dared come before him without a lawyer. In most of the cases, the lawyers were defending clients who weren't even there and the majority of those cases ended with reduced fines and NO points. It's all a racket, I tell ya.
The moral of the story. Hire a "ticket doctor" lawyer and be done with it.

Shamey - if I ever get pulled over (again) in my county, I hope it's by Officer Bond. Officer Bond didn't show up today and all 14 of his cases were dismissed. One lady had 3 violations and they were all dismissed. On the other hand, the judge called out name after name of defendants who didn't show. I'd hate to see how much that fine would be.

I was nabbed (in a smallish town) for running a red light (it was YELLOW, I swear). My copper did show up but pulled me aside and told me if I paid the fine he would make the points go away. I did, he did and we lived happily ever after.
