My mom's dog is doing well. She got through surgery, and the older brother/conservator has agreed to pay for all of the costs.
My mom goes over to visit her - I was going to go, but it is the same place I had to put Stoli down, so I really don't want to visit.
But, Lexie is doing great - thanks for asking. Give your better half a big old hug from me!
If I can get to him through all the cleaning paraphanalia!
I'm glad to hear about Lexie, and even more happy that it seems to be being settled so amicably.
I have to write something up for her, but I am going to try and take as much legalese out of it, so as to not scare the guy.
Does J2 want to come visit LA?
Well, I was thinking of all of the cleaning supplies...
D2 can come as well. Perhaps we can get Q to cook for us!
We need DD, Boobs, and SOMMS also. And everyone else. You got room, right YWIW?
I got an airbed ... and there is a sofa along with the futon...
But, that may be pushing it.
Hm, we'll figure somethin' out.

Hello adults! No thread back reading tonight! Hope all is well, GREAT SPRING BREAK! I had so much fun with the family and others, that I thought I was 15. I did not want to go, but the C's convinced me, and they are a little smarter! I even have a little tan.
That's great to hear, brd!
We'll be coming to LA in July. We'll be staying at the W. Whether or not J2 will clean for you is his decision. He is also an exceptional cook. And right at the moment he's snoring like lumberjack on a tree felling spree.

Double Duly Noted. Hmm. What was it, 1.7 miles from my Westwood home? I'm hogging J2 and D2 as much as I can!
Shira, dear, I'm sure you meant to type "hugging," right?
I have such pain from my shoulder blade up to my neck whenever I move. I must've slept all twisted up or something. OW!

Ouch, Girly Painkillers!
And, D2 - I was just about to comment on that 'hogging' thing, but I think I'll pass. For now.
If you come early in the month, you can witness the ultimate experience on Small-Town Americana (as done in LA) at my family's annual 4th of July celebration. Bubbles, line dancing, ping pong, pounds of food and hot dogs, and good beer on tap...
Then there are the folks who sing folks songs in the back - I pretty much just walk around them!
I took a few Advil. I don't really want to take anything stronger, since they'll make me sleepy. Hopefully, the Advil will at least take the edge off enough for me to get some errands done.

Y, I love thsoe types of parties! There are many block parties in Chicago. Much fun!
Brd - it ends up being about 150 people - a semi-official block party/temple party/reunion of friends/neighborhood party.
The only real annoying things is when some of the older guests just plop down right in the middle of all of the walking lanes, so you end up having to contort your way around them...
That, and people still think that after 20+ years of not living there that I know where everything is.
I'm definitely coming this year!
Hogging/Hugging. Um, mais bien sur!
Girly, feel better!
Ah, finally got some good sleep.
Attending my dad's weird friend's "party" this afternoon complete with Greek some weird guitar(?) player?
I'm sure I'll have some stories later.

Some of my friends have great summer parties. In the last few years we have not had the usual summer holiday parties. We do throw a most excellent Christmas party! You have to be on the A List for an invitation! (LOL)
Back at the office after a week off! Ugh! Same ole stuff as before!
Maybe I'll have a summer party this year, who knows?
Back to the real world, brd. NOT that I'm all too familiar, but still.

Shira - I believe what you're thinking of is a Balalyka - which isn't 'weird', just not what you're familiar with
