Gee, I wouldn't mind some of that sort of suffering for a while.

In silence, I'm sure
*The kitties send hugs to DG*
Sorry that your plans got upended.

Thanks - all the hugs, shoulders and bosoms are lovely.
Now, WHERE'S THE VIRTUAL SCOTCH?!?!?
I saw that one too, YWIW. I was thinking of buying it for him, but he'd never hang it!

Thank you, ladies!
And no, I wouldn't hang a poster - BUT, should someone gift me with all the real bottles, I'd recreate it faithfully somewhere safe

Soapy - while others here do enjoy a drink or two, I'm pretty sure I'm the only full-blown lush - and coincidentally, I'm also the only non-apologetic chain-smoker.
Other than that, of course, i'm a saint.
Off to do some real work tonight - I have a contract to write and have had writer's block on how to structure it for over a week. I have to get something to my client by tomorrow, or I may just scream.
DG - hugs and chugs.
Shira - recuperate quickly. Hopefully, we can hook up before you return to NYC.
Soapy - have a great afternoon.
soapy- you pinch your pennies, that's how. I only get a $6625 student loans to make do with for the year.
And I WISH I had to suffer through living in NY! I have to suffer through living in Omaha. yeah, Omaha. as in middle of f*cking nowhere
And polly - have a great Sunday night as well!
"Other than that, of course, i'm a saint."
I just spit my milk, thanks.
YWIW - I call coffee or whatever before I leave, for sure!
Polly, you can always visit And trust me, I hope you people realize I'm kidding. I am very grateful for the opportunities I've been given recently.
Polly, I'd complain about having to suffer through Alabama, but I quite like it.
DG, tee hee hee.
I am planning on moving there in about 4 years when I graduate. That's really the best place for me to be with a theatre major.
I hated GA soapy. I spent 16 years there. It probably wouldn't have been too bad if I had been in a big enough city but I was in Albany. Small town. It was like living in a soap opera. Actually the whole state was. The two girls that my husband dated before me, I knew both of them even though one lived 6 hours away.
Whoa. That is a small world.
Wow, I honestly don't know a third of the people in my senior class. It's only 700 people, but I don't get out much.
only?? hell thats almost double the number of kids that went to my entire school

Wow. Where I went to high school (there were eight in our city,) each and every class in each school had over a thousand students - my graduating class was just under 1700.
It was a military town, in case that isn't obvious
1700? Holy Mackerel. I had 130!
DG that sounds like my hubby's class in Denver. There was so many kids they had to take 2 class photos. and each one was still huge.

My wife and I had a long discussion this evening about the high school issue. We were listing factors: cost, location, size, diversity, etc. Only one more year!
Yes, the high school discussion is difficult for many parents. Fortunately for mine it came down to: Modern Orthodox Private Jewish High School and Reform Private Jewish High School. I went for the reform.
The public school system in LA is WHACK. I think by the time I'm 40, maybe it will have gotten better, but who knows.

There are some magnet programs, but the local public high school is NOT an option. I will sell my house and move in with my parents before that happens.
