Hiya cammy!!!

I am going to help out at my old Fire Department's haunted hayride the next two weekends, so I am sure I will dress up as something. Except Friday, I get my hair done so I'm not ruining it with a costume. Tink is going to become a brunette.

Well they won't let me cut my hair, so I said fine I need a chance so I am going darker. It is winter, so I should be able to get away with it, even though I am nervous as hell. I mean it will be a light brown/dirty blonde, but still.

Tink there is no need to be nervous.. if you dont like it you can always do a tint back to natural.. it's really rather simple in the grand scheme of things.. as long as it's a reputable person doing the coloring you shouldn't have any issues what so ever..

Well I have always just highlighted it to different shades of blonde. Never a totally different shade.

I tried once when I was in HS to go to deep auburn red, but chicked out 5 minutes in and washed it out. I had orange hair until I could go back to blonde.

I can understand that Tink.. I've never been one to color my hair.. not for lack of want.. I just dont particularly want to always have to color it and with my hair being insanely long it would take forever to grow out.. so on occassion that I have felt the need I stuck to semi permanent that eventually washed out.. the only thing that stopped me from doing permanent was the fact that my hair has so many natural highlights in it that it would be impssible to to a tint back to natural and have it look natural.

If that makes any sense at all..

Out of curiousity, what type of shampoo and conditioner do you use?

When I know I am going to straighten my hair, I use Tresseme Smooth & Silky shampoo and Volume Rich Conditioner. If I am just going to let got naturally curly I use either Pantene or Citre Shine. I have like 18 different kinds of Shamp/Cond in my shower at all times, lol.

Nice!! and I thought I was bad..

I was going to reccomend a shampoo and conditioner to help repair the drying of your hair that will be inevitable.. Maybe you don't need me too.

hehe, I am doing pretty good at the moment now that I don't take an actual clothes iron to straighten my hair!
