Condolences, SoMMS.
Sorry to hear that, SOMMS.
Good morning all.
I finally watched "Eat Pray Love" last night...I didn't realize it was a mini series, but now I want to sell all of my worldly possessions and move to Italy....to eat of course.
So, it's a LONG term plan -- it will take a decade to sell off the contents of the garage alone.
Well if my framily can find it in their hearts to come and help me it may only take a year or two.
Will you be serving your meatballs?
That movie was neverending. I wanted to poke my eyeballs out.
Sorry for your loss, Somms.

I watched the prettiness that is Billy Crudyup in Stage Beauty while attempting to murder the cold I felt coming on.

His hair in Eat, Pray, Love needed some work. Made his ears look too big.
He looked okay in Arcadia last week, though.

Yes Deet, I will make my meatballs and we can make sandwiches.
Billy's ears are ENORMOUS!
Saturday was all about Pushing Daisies S1 & S2 for me. And then I watched "The Virgin Suicides". I think I may be RedBoxing a few times this week as a few things came out I want to see. Eat Pray Love comes to Netflix Watch Instantly on Thursday so I'll watch it sometime next week.
Wedding was fun, but I am freaking exhausted today. I REEALLLYY dont get the point for all the freakin work that goes into it. I was in a chair at 8am getting my hair done for a ceremony that didnt start until 4:30 (which by that point I was at least a bottle of champagne in). And then by the end of the night I think they counted I was at 2 bottles (just myself) and yet at no point during the day was I ever drunk. heh.
But now to focus - I can start moving into my apartment tomm or Weds! Unfort all my furniture isnt going until next sat.
We saw the new "Jane Eyre" yesterday. I have a new crush - Michael Fassbender. Dark, intense, dreamy.
The film is terrific, btw; one of the best adaptations of the book. It really captures the gothic romance of the period: it's moody, brooding, spooky, sometimes terrifying and incredibly sensuous. Mia Wasikowska doesn't play Jane as a victim, but as the heroine that Charlotte Bronte actually wrote: strong-willed, witty, beaten but never, ever defeated. She's stunning in the role.
J2 had never seen "Jane Eyre" in any of its incarnations, he'd never read the book. I was a little wary about how he'd react to the film, but he was completely captivated too. Whew.
So, he'll enjoy Jane Eyre: The Musical when Julie Taymor rolls it out next year?
Actually, no.
One of the interminable movie previews was for something called "Thor." I leaned over to J2 and whispered "That's Taymor's next film to stage project." I was a little louder than I intended, though, because our immediate section of the theater started to laugh.
AHEM..I LOVED Jane Eyre: The Musical James Barbour was amazing in the production. I remember the set being very clever too.
I am looking forward to seeing the new movie version. If you haven't already, Deet, you should read the book "The Crimes of Charlotte Bronte" It was very captivating to say the least.
Boobs, I adore that music as well.
Condolences, SOMMS. May your grieving be easy.

I wonder what Girly is having for lunch?
What did you make her?
It better not have been that chicken soup that she was supposed to bring me last night.

A little late to the thread, but my condolences SOMMS.
I am sorry for your loss.
I had a 7AM meeting today - which I someone made it in for with 10 minutes to spare.
I need a caffeine IV.
That was so bizarre. My phone saying I was in New Hope. Boob's phone said he was in Hillsborough. We were both in his kitchen!
Boobs, saving it for dinner!
His friend's mama made some delish chicken parm!

I just ordered my friend, Joseph, to get front mezz tickets for Priscilla. I will hound him until he does.

Poddie, if I would have known sooner I would have made you my homemade chicken soup (Grandma's recipe of course) and Girly and I would have taken a ride up to see you.

Wouldn't that be a ride DOWN to see him? At least geography-wise.
Still waiting to hear from my sister as to whether her surgery is still on for Wednesday morning. I went ahead and made plane and hotel reservations, just in case and I'll need to change/cancel them tonight if it's a no-go.
