Pulses rushing!
Faces flushing!
Heartbeats speed up!
I have never been so keyed up!
Vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra
Salve, Salve Regina
Ad te clamamus exsules filii Eva
Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes
O clemens O pia

There will be pictures for all, I promise!
The dinner was a great success. I actually roasted a pretty awesome chicken - I'm still in shock.

Thank you, Deet!!
I have some dishes to clean (but not now), but overall, I was cleaned up and people were sent home with leftovers by 11. Then I fell asleep.
Until I woke up and realized...I needed to drink. Anything BUT wine.
#3655The Adults are here to stay!
Posted: 9/30/08 at 2:37amHave something with citrus in it, Shira. Fastest hangover cure I know.

Lemon Iced Tea? That's what I'm drinkin' anyway.
I'm not hungover. I'm just working on avoiding it.
#3657The Adults are here to stay!
Posted: 9/30/08 at 2:40amFresh lemon, or processed?
#3658The Adults are here to stay!

Processed

Well, at least your thirst is being quenched. I have no idea what else to say!

Have you been rendered speechless?
Well, back to bed. Have to get up and teach the babies. Wait, no. I have to go through a major lesson plan and "teach" the parents, because the 2 year olds don't absorb anything quite yet, but their parents want to think they will be so WE have to plan it to the hilt.

Not quite speechless, Shira.
Go, plan, sleep. 'night.
#3662The Adults are here to stay!
Posted: 9/30/08 at 2:59am
The planning has been done.
The sleep, not happening quite yet.
#3663The Adults are here to stay!
Posted: 9/30/08 at 3:03amYeah, I know. Me too. Eyelids heavy, but sleep is not forthcoming.
#3664The Adults are here to stay!
Posted: 9/30/08 at 3:17amI just showered, so now I'm definitely up!

I'm ridiculously proud. You would be too, if you knew my history in the kitchen.
#3668The Adults are here to stay!

I feel like this brings new meaning to the phrase, famously uttered by Jaily some months ago...
"But can it make a chicken?"
Yes. But it still can't bake a pie.
#3670The Adults are here to stay!
Posted: 9/30/08 at 3:45amBut it can try.
#3671The Adults are here to stay!
Posted: 9/30/08 at 3:45amAnd it might, someday soon. I do prefer cakes though - MUCH easier.

Miss P, I didn't think you were a delicate flower like the boys to be needing smelling salts.
