I can relate that Rath - I want to be a pirate - but there just is not a lot of demand for it these days.

Good morning all! Just checking in - I have a big day today I think, lot's of people to try to please in only eight hours. Talk about supply and demand! Maybe I should become a concierge - most of my job seems similar to that anyhow.

I am trying not to make any obvious vampire/sucking references - biting my tongue!

Okay - today is the day my head may very well explode - so I am venting here.

Recently our CEO decided that the executive assistant he had was not quite "image worthy" for him. Don't ask - it's a crap move on his part, and the men is a jerk. So - he reassigned her to another needy manager - and hired a new assistant.

Thing is - this woman is nuts! She is from a studio in Hollywood where aparently she did nothing but pass **** off to other people. She is REALLY good at ass kissing, and constantly makes reference to the atractiveness of our employees - and yet she is no great looker - she probably was at one time, but now she has the traces of a hard drinker about her.

That's not the real problem though - the problem is she can't seem to do the job the CEO hired her for. We had to teach her Outlook, she did not know how to FedEx something using our account# and the web site, (duh!), and now she thinks that I keep a record of all the special orders I place for our staff. She has forgotten what she orders for her boss - and now does not want to ask him again, (don't blame her - she should not have to). I told her I place orders for 350 employees in our SF office and another 65 in Denver - I don't keep track except through invoices. I told her she needs to start a file of items that will be regularly ordered for her boss and refer to it when needed.

Now - this all seems common sense to me - but I am a unique and fascinating individual...lol. Am I being mean spirited here? I just think if you are hired at an executive level, you should be able to come to the party with some basic knowledge of how things work in an office!

Girly - if I knew - I would be soooo happy. Time will tell - I just don't want to get too close, she seems kind of shifty and I can't gauge what it's all about. Thank goodness my managers are absolute delights, I really don't have to interact with her too much.
