I'm back for a bit.
Cheeze, I agree. It's the wrong way to approach a life commitment. Oprah is odd.
She obviously never saw my parents' marriage.
gh, that's lovely.

re: relationship, I believe that's what it's all about... compromise, and yes, giving up a part of your independence. And I do think that some people see it as giving up part of themselves, and are just not willing to do that. I think the older we get, the more difficult it gets to be willing to give up those freedoms and independence.
I have always felt that my life was enriched by being in a committed relationship. And that I gained far more than I 'gave up'. But, it's all about the art of compromise. Though, when you love someone...
Be careful, Addy.
We do not want to see a ruptured Addy.
Nope. That happened two weeks ago!
I finally decided to just unpack the stuff from the boxes before I tried to move them...
Mission organization! I'm having fun, but I didn't leave myself enough time for this project and I have company coming on Friday!
I'd like to think I could be in a relationship again. It just appears doubtful... I'm becoming a crotchety old man who enjoys his independence a little too much. But I never say never...
I'm better in a relationship. I'm actually LESS selfish in one.
Never say never, DD!
At least there is Walter Bondi.
The wonderful Walter Bondi!
On that happy note, I should probably get back to my projects... The clock is ticking!
Hope to see you all later. Happy evening.

Hi adults! Is anyone still around?
I was wondering if any of you have seen my friend Miss Pennywise around anywhere? I seem to have lost her.
Did you all have a lovely day? I did! Now we have 3 days of rain coming and I'm looking forward to that too. The pollen in the air is making everyone here sick. (I may have just answered my own question concerning Miss P. I'll have to call her tomorrow and see how she's feeling.)
My throat feels like it has knives poking it. That usually signals the onset of one of my "can't lift my head up" colds.

Mamie, I've been wondering about Penny myself.
And Girly, do you have any Airborne or Zicam? Can you run out and get some if not? If you can prevent it, do.
I don't want to call her tonight - in case she isn't feeling good. But I will call her tomorrow if she doesn't post something tonight.
(I was watching my dear Gregory's cam just now. During the intermission for DRS, the opening night crowd came out of "Tarzan". Greg stuck his camera out his dressing room window and filmed the festivities. It was a nice touch for those of us who can't be there!)
Do we have reason to believe she's not feeling well, Mamie?
possible. But she's also under some major stress at work re this fund raising. I usually hear from her almost every day and I haven't heard anything. I've sent a couple emails to her work but they were answered by a co-worker. So - it's probably just a case of being overworked and overstressed. I'm going to try and set up a lunch date this week.
I hope she's okay. I miss her sunny presence.
Hi Girls!
Mamie, when you see her, tell her we say "hi" and that we want her to get her butt back here soon!
If I get a chance to talk to her, I'll pass on your good wishes. (I forgot for a minute - she's also got this big Paris trip coming up. She's trying to do too much all at once!)
Well, looky who shows up to gaze wistfully upon her Rathy.
