And wondering how my clear message to my team that the project which is due to the client on Monday, which we are FAR from having completed, results in people going out for a two hour lunch today, two people asking me for Friday off, three telling me they have to leave early... While I work until after midnight...

Addy - quite honestly, that's why I ultimately had to leave the everyday workforce. Too many years of trying to compensate for . . . well, many things.
That being said, am I the only one who wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of Addy's focussed 'energy' - especially when she's got all the truth backing her up?
