I just spoke to my mother. She's a little loopy, but in very good spirits. My best friend since the 7th grade just called me to tell me his mother died this morning (very sad, but I haven't seen her in 20 years and we were never that close) and wanted me to tell my mother.
Her response: Oh that's too bad. I knew I'd outlive her.
