I was at a brutal funeral last December, an unexpected suicide by a father of a three year old! Yikes, that was tough.
That sucks. That just seems so selfish. I always think in situations like that that they must have needed some sort of medication. I know medication can't solve everything but it can really help some people. My one daughter had some problems with depression and since she's been on medication she feels like a different person.
Did I miss Baddy? I wanted to let her know that her ears should have been ringing tonight.

Harris, any weather problems for you?
lol nope very little rain
Decided this a.m. that I really should get my a** to SWEENEY, so I called and ordered a ticket for tonight.
It was my first time seeing LuPone live - good heavens - the woman is a GOD. Completely, effortlessly, beyond perfection! Not one person on that stage could hold a candle to her, in my opinion. She made them all look like amateurs! And it's a pretty talented lot.
I did see the Circle in the Square production, and I prefer Gunton's Todd to Cerveris, which surprised me. I expected to be mad about Cerveris - it was my first time seeing him as well. I'm very glad I went, if for no other reason that to have experienced the magic of LuPone.

Suicide can indeed be deemed a selfish act - but it's because someone is finally trying to find an end to their own suffering.
Be thankful you've never been in that position.
I snagged a ticket for Wednesday night. I'd never seen any other production. Have only seen Patti in Noises Off. Saw Cerveris in Assassins. Cerveris gave me the willies watching him. Kinda glad I wasn't in the first two rows.

Ms. LuPone was a force of nature in Evita - it was like standing in the direct path of a hurricane.
I thought Patti was excellent. I must admit that I didn't have high hopes. I didn't agree with all of Ms. LuPone's choices in the 2001 concert production. However, come Broadway, her balance of sensual venality was just right. She was the highlight of a fine evening.
Let's face it, though, that score still gives me chills.
I think I will forever hold my "Sweeney" experience as one of the highlights of theater in my life.

Saw Boobs was up, so I got some coffee ready.
*grabs some of that coffee*
Girly, he gave me chills when he first "entered," but then that was it. I felt like he was playing everything externally. And when he was in a scene but not singing, it was like he wasn't even there.
Have a great day, smokers (and DG.)!
Good morning peeps !!!! *grabs IV and goes back to work*
Mmmmmm..... coffee! Morning all, and HAPPY FRIDAY!
Good mornin' all. Anyone have a cuppa? It's dark and rainy and windy outside. I think Miss P and I might miss our dinner and a show today. Just too yucky outside!
A reminder to any who're interested - the single tickets for NYMT events are now on sale. I got mine this morning for the flea market weekend!
Mamie, flea market? woo hoo maybe we should all wear nametags! (Just kidding!)
I'm going back to bed. Maybe I can sleep through whats left of Ernesto.....

Good Friday morning everyone! A rainy, blustery day here and Ernesto hasn't even hit us yet. The ride home should be interesting today.
Did someone say there was coffee?

I'm drinking mine now.
This has probably been said by others far wiser and wittier (and quicker) than I, but I was just thinking how each morning's "chuckle" is really a "boobs lift"!
Tell me if I'm years behind the times.
Morning Miss P....this job is keeping me from playing..not fair....don't they know it's Friday...AND a holiday weekend?
Miss P - this is early for you! I have to start each day with Boobs' chuckle BEFORE the first cup of caffeine. It's that critical to starting the day!
