DD, same here. I was stuck on a packed elevator at the court house summer and it was not pleasant!
Oh my goodness! Thank goodness you're out, Dottie! There were some elevator problems at my building at work today, and people kept remarking that it was a power issue...
I would have had an anxiety attack.
I think Dottie needs a:
That's horrible. I guess it wasn't so bad, since I was the only one in there. It made me think of the guy stuck in the Rockefeller Center elevator for an entire weekend a few years ago.
Dottie - Did you think about Denis O'Hare and Christina Applegate and sing "I'm The Bravest Individual" while you were stuck in the elevator???
Gee, I hope he wasn't on his way to the Rainbow Room. No view in an elevator.
*hyperventilating*
Just the thought of it...
Thanks, Cookie. I don't know what that was, but I needed that!!
Junglered, that musical was probably the furthest thing from my mind. I just kept thinking, "there's going to be hell to pay!"
Just a margarita, Dottie...
I spy Her Ozness about!
*squiggles*
And DD higgles too! Breathe, DD. Just breathe...
Does DD need a paper bag for breathing?
I am not seriously claustrophobic... most of the time.
You could be aerophobic like me, DD...
Aerophobic is for anyone who expresses themselves through some sort of art: music, drawing, poetry, stories, journals, etc. ???
That's me!
Except that I meant acrophobia... Heights...
My fear of heights is not that bad, cookie. I do get a little vertigo, but I don't mind rollercoasters, and can't wait to go bungee jumping sometime.
Try clinging to the salt scraped walls of Sagrada Familia, as you go up those narrow steps into the spires, as everything is open to the elements, as you peer out the tiny windows, just because it's fascinating and fantastic.
And then hyperventilate when you see that there's a tiny sliver of a bridge that connects one spire to another, that you then have to cross...
I can see how someone would not like it. I would be ok with it, I like to believe.
But you did it? Right?

Oh, I had to do it, DD.
And I loved it.
Getting down was pure hell.
Ain't it beautiful, DG?
I should have returned at night to get some shots of it then... Next time. I miss Barcelona...

Mamie, fortunately someone told me of your post - I never would have seen it. I can't keep up with this thread these days, as I'm not online during the day.
The answer is that I'm just setting up this particular picnic because I wanted to have one. I am not the official BWW Picnic Planner. If you want a picnic in September, organize it!
Those pix are amazing, cookie. I'd love to visit Barcelona. Never been.
what amazing pics, cookie. While I was on tour in Europe with a show, we were in Koln, Germany and there was a musical there called Gaudi and it was all about him. It was pretty good (in German) and it had a sort of Evita-like narrative to it. Anyone know what I'm talkikng about? HELLO ALL!!
