Hello all. I'm just back from a lovely day in the country - down at my brother's house. He had a cookout for all the family in the area and the weather couldn't have been any more glorious! They made it a late birthday party for me and gave me a wild Picasso-esque cat clock and a Beatles "Hard Day's Night" nightshirt. Great fun.

Thanks guys, My Dad is doing better. He's gonna be 89 in March and at discharge the PAs and the nurses are telling him that post stent he can't have sex for three days.
Meanwhile his chest pain is gone.

Good morning adults. Sunday morning up and at 'em early. Painting still happening so LBI is cancelled. Hope all the adults in Chicago going to Ravina to see Patti have fun..I know they will....some crew there. Coffee is ready and I will be making omelettes shortly so put in your order now.

Have a little gathering for my Godbaby's 13th birthday this afternoon. I get to drive northish with the legion of people coming back from the beach today. Yippee! Luckily, it's only a smidge of the way with the ones heading up the Parkway and Turnpike. You know, Boobs, the benny's!!

Okay, it's SUPPOSED to be summer here and the sky is grey, cold, wet and miserable. So I've decided to create summer indoors. A friend has phoned to say she's stopping by so I've prepared a dish of strawberries and a jug of Pim-Pom. Delicious - one third Pimms, one third Pomegranate juice, two thirds ginger ale and lots of ice, mint and cucumber. Oh, and my 'secret' ingredient, too. A BIG dash of gin. There is plenty to share, too, so please stop by if you're not busy.

FOOD? Cucumbers add no taste or nutrients to a drink. (yeah, that's why I drink - it's all about the nutrients). Crispy texture, maybe, but taste? I think not.
