Good morning all! A glorious day here in DC area as well. Just got back from an hour long 'power walk'. More walk than power, but the weather was too nice to pass up.
With a sister in Chicago, I really should have looked into tickets for Patti weekend.

Patronus, I hope you're still not waiting for suggestions!
Nah, after about an hour I just started singing Mr. Cellophane while eating a salad.
Good morning all. I have to work today.

Patronus - LOVE the av!
Thanks Moonie! I was messing around yesterday and that was the product of my boredom. I think I am going to have to stick with that one for a while.
Sondhemcee.
Creative, Patronus!
Next year, Moony! We'll all gather in Chicago again next year.
I was up and out early as well. This weather is so envigorating!

It's a date, Addy!
Lots to look forward to!
As the Patti reviews were trickling in last night, I was kicking myself for not making plans to go see this production. I guess it all worked out because I'll get Sweeney in a couple of weeks, but it seems like it would have been a great way to experience my first live production of Gypsy.
Sweeney is the show!
You're so lucky to see it. :)
When I saw it in March I had standing room, so it will be nice to see it up close
Even though I really loved the show it seemed like being in SRO took away from the claustrophobic feel of the production which really drives the vision hope. The ushers going back and forth and light from the sound board etc kept me from really losing myself in the show. I figure closing night will be a very power experience.
Have you seen it, Glebb?
IMPORTANT NEWS....I know you all want to know....

Beautiful day... gone camping.
I almost bought my friends in France a "George Bush Presidency Countdown Calendar," which, like Boobs' post about Xmas, marks the number of days left in Bush's reign. But I decided that hanging images of him on your wall--even in jest--would be like asking bad karma to move right in. I bought them a book of the stupidest things Republicans ever said instead. (LOTS of Dan Quayle, BTW. Made me wish I never threw away my "Quayle Quarterlys.")
Yes Patronus. I saw Sweeney about four weeks ago.
LOVED IT!
I saw the original three times and as I've said several times in several threads think this production kept me levitated the whole time. I was in row two (or three) and Patti sang to me!! I loved every second and everything about the Doyle Sweeney.
