Hi DD, Harris! How are you boys and all your animals doing?

We're having a sad time with our little girl. She and Teddy were never apart (only one 24 hour period in 10 1/2 years!) It's obvious she doesn't understand what's going on. She keeps laying or sitting in his usual spots and just looking around. We're giving her all kinds of extra love, but she still wants to know where he is. It breaks my heart
My sweet ol'Tootsy went through the same thing when her partner crossed. Today all I have to do is mention the other one's name and Toots starts looking for her down the hall (the other one usually slept in my bed at the end of the hall). It really does tear your heart out. I spent a lot of time playing with Toots and brushing her hair and doing what I could to get her mind off of it. I'm just not up to caring for another or I would have gotten a kitten. I don't know if you guys have considered another dog or not.
well the cows want me to win one of the auction prizes so there search for $$ for me.
and sigh =(
I've got to say goodnight. I'm in the process of emptying the contents of my kitchen (EVERYTHING has to come out!) so it will be ready for exterminators tomorrow. I don't have any bugs (that I'm aware of) but if my neighbors get exterminated and I don't, then I know all their little friends will come right over here to live. This is a pain and a half. I can't believe how much stuff I have in there! All the cabinets, closets, drawers, and pantry. I also have to empty the bathroom. Yikes - I'm going to be up all night!
Sweet dreams all!
*sends the hippo to help mamie*

ugh had to brush off, what i thought was a good friend last night
Good morning all. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I'm sorry about your (former?) friend, Harris. That happens sometimes and it always hurts when it does. By the way, thank you for the help of the hippo. We watched Buffy DVD's after we finished the work.
Rathy! Good Morning. It's about 65 today! You have no idea how happy I am about that. I might just throw on a pair of shorts.
65??? I'm incredibly jealous. I was all excited over our 32 degree weather today.
I actually thought I bundled up too much this morning when I got outside. I was like "Is it Spring already?" and then saw the snow still on the ground and was snapped back into reality.
Forecast for DC calls for temperatures in the mid-50s for Thursday! (Only 50 for today and tomorrow.)
After this most frigid weekend in NYC, I am thrilled about the temps here!
Hope everyone is well-rested after the long weekend!
Hey MP! Did you have a good weekend in NY? I love the forecast for this week. WE'RE HAVING A HEAT WAVE!!!
Happy Mardi Gras!
I find the weather so funny... we really are reversed. When we were freezing on this end, the east was warm, then we switched, and now we have switched again! Up to 2' of snow expected on the passes today, high winds in the lowlands... we're back to winter here.

Thanks DG for taking care of that. It looks like the ski trip on Sunday is a go, car or no car.
Almost... my car was stolen on Sunday. I have a rental, but I would not dare drive that little thing to the mountains.
Stolen! That's awful. Was it stolen from your home or were you out? That's really scary.
*runs in tackles DD and rolls on floor to cheer him up*
Sweetie..I've had about 5 cars stolen on me..I know the feeling..I'm sorry. All of mine were recovered...one I couldn't even drive off of the police lot because they took all the seats.
*weee*
We were at a restaurant, Mamie. Of course, when I tell people where we were, they go "Oh yeah, that's a pretty bad area for stolen cars." Apparently it's very close to a very seedy stretch of road.
