Congratulations, Mom! (Or should I say "GrandMom"?)
hey there is my dance partner =)
*the cows bring in left overs from last nights party
Thanks Motor and miss penny!! (actually miss penny Lizzie calls me "nana")
congrats mom
Morning peeps !!!! Congrats Mom..that's great news !!! Now let's all have a cup of coffee and celebrate.
So last night I saw "Spring Awakening" and LOVED it !!! This is one of those shows that I will be returning to..again...and again...and...well maybe 2 more times. Seems everytime I go to the theater I spot someone famous..last night it was Jake Gyllenhaal..OMG..he is even cuter in person, if you could imagine that....all I can say is that he is lucky he had a body guard between us...hee hee. Now about audience members you would like to slap..behind us there was a row of women...I'd said in their mid-40's to late 50's..who through the show were obnoxious..opening things, whispering (loudly) between themselves..I let all of this go...well in the scene where 2 boys kiss (sorry for letting that slip, but it's important to my story) 1 lets out a loud "ewwwww..that's disgusting"...to which my friend turned and said to them "shut the f*ck up". After the show he got up and turned to the one who said it and said to her "you should be ashamed of yourself"..of course one of the other loud mouths chimed in "what are you talking about?"..to which he responded that they all should be ashamed of themselves...not sure what he or they said after that being the young couple in front of me said they were glad that he said something to them because they couldn't believe that someone would actually yell that out. Well as we were standing outside of the theater saying our goodnights, these classy ladies passed by and one turns to my friend and calls him a "faggot"..yes in New York...in front of a Broadway theater..I know..and I hate to say this, but these women were NOT from out of town...you could tell by their lovely accents..even heavier than mine. Then one actually came over to my friend and said he should be careful because her father is in the mafia..LMAO !!! I guess she really didn't get a good look at me.
The funny thing was how before the show started they were all talking about "Rosie" and how she loves this show and how she highly recommended it....I wonder if they'll ever listen to Rosie again.
That's just sad, but I'm glad you didn't let it ruin your night. Why am I never around to beat these women up for you, Boobs?
*hugs shamey* Sweetie...you would've slapped them silly if you were there...and nope..no low class bitch was gonna ruin my fun night out.
Oh when Rath gets in this morning just tell her that this little cute petite thing was sitting to the right of me last night..she'll know who I'm talking about.
And a surprise bonus was seeing him last night
<---------------------------------------------
Boobs, that story just makes my head spin. I'm sorry you had such ugliness. But happy you enjoyed the show and had the bonus sighting!
I actually had someone hit me during a show. An old bat who was sitting behind me and wouldn't shut up. I turned around and whispered to her to please be quiet and she spent the rest of the show hitting my on the head whenever I shifted in my seat. I would have gotten an usher but there wasn't an intermission...
Congrats to mom (or should we call her grandmom?) on that exciting news.
Good morning to all.
Boobs, would that be our almost-mutual friend?
ya see boobs thats why ya need to take the big monkey with ya, he would have taken care of them.
Honestly, it's a very good thing I wasn't there. If someone ever said something like that to one of my friends in front of me, I think I would lose it.
Shamey - I'm with you. People can say what they want about me and I'll most likely keep my cool, but say something, esp. something like that, to my friend and I go buck wild. Quite amusing actually.
I NEVER see anyone famous when I'm at shows (other than the actors on stage of course). I saw a Wed matinee of SA, and found out at the evening show Billy Joel was there, I was royally depressed.
Morning all!
Morning hugs to Addy,Rath,Tink and harris.
YES Rath..I knew you would know who I was talking about. I just love her..she's such a sweetie....I was afraid she was gonna start beating those ladies, but she kept her cool. She had me laughing all the way down 49th St as we walked to our cars.
Addy, I'm sorry, but you know that story makes me laugh..I just picture this old lady swatting you in the head. God love you for keeping your cool too.
Guys..these woman wanted us to start a scene with them on the street..you know that somehow we would've looked like the bad guys in the end for just not walking away...just wasn't worth it.
Hi Tink!
Yeah, there's not too much that someone can say to me that will set me off. But, if they insult someone I love, the results will not be pretty. Especially, somebody like Boobs who is nothing but heart and class.
I'm glad you got to see her, Boobs! Hopefully I will someday soon. Tell her I look forward to it, if you haven't already.
I don't generally see famous people in the theater, now that I'm no longer in the biz and don't go to lots of previews/opening nights. However, I sometimes see B-listers beside me. Perhaps even tonight...
shamey..I only get class from the people I'm surrounded by. MWAH
Rath..can I assume you're seeing "Curtains" tonight? *warns Ms. Monk*
I'm seeing it!! My "date" is your little friend from the other night.
Don't worry, I'm too afraid of Monk to go near her! If I see her backstage I'll run the other way.
My friend with the GREAT legs? Give her a hug and kiss from me and tell her it will be okay.
That's the one.
I just want to state for the record, blah blah blah!
Great legs?
Ok, peeps, you can just admit you were talking about me, it's ok!
=P
Oh, shamey, you're not being replaced! But you're not here, I needed someone to come with me.
Sure, you say that now, but just wait.
Soon it will be "Legs and I did this and Legs and I did that!"
Actually, she's not my "Legs."
Is that supposed to make me feel better!?!
Cause it's SO not! :-P
