Mornin'!
So much to do today and, of course, I don't feel like moving.

Good day all ...
YWiW - have you visited the vet today yet? Any news?
ETA - just read the other thread. Sending hugs to YWiW and scratches to Stoli and Zorra.

We just got back from a full and lovely day "on the town." Last night we saw [title of show] and then got together with some close friends. Today we saw South Pacific, had dinner with my brother and his wife, then went to see Xanadu. The off-spring--particularly LS--are crazeee for Whoopi Goldberg (whom LS calls "Whoopi Goldfer. LOL.)
I cried practically all through South Pacific. And laughed all through Xanadu (again!)
If it weren't for ALL THE PEOPLE in NYC this weekend, it would have been perfect!

Well, it did have some rather low points, but I'm choosing to ignore them for the sake of this thread. Crying was involved in that, too, and it wasn't because of what I was watching on stage.
How are you holding up, YWIW?

Doing OK.
Funny story - Stoli was named for apparent affection for martini olives. Tonight, like a couple of nights this past week, I have had a nice, stiff drink with Gin on the rocks. I put a couple of martini olives in it for taste.
Wouldn't you know he grabbed one out of the glass and started playing with it!
I will do what needs to be done when it is time, but just try to enjoy and love him until then.
And Zorra is being far more attentive than usual. She is almost snuggling, which is almost unheard of. I spoke with the pet rescue folks today, and they told me if they find a cat that would be well suited for Zorra, that they will hold him for me until it is time. They totally agreed with the decision I made, so that was some comfort. But it is sad, because I feel like I am saying goodbye to one of my good friends. He has been such an amazing companion.
It is just so very sad. But, he did bring a big ass smile to my face today playing with that martini olive.
I am glad you and yours are having a good time in NY. Give them all a hello from me and my feline family.

To show Stoli is worthy of his name...

Posted: 8/3/08 at 2:20amI guess I've been out of the loop the past couple of days because I'm not clear on what your decision actually is. But I do know that you will make the right one because that's who you are. Whatever happens, you know you have my love and support.

Wow ... being busy has it's downfall (missed another fun bww weekend.)
Finally done with one of the big projects - getting closer to actually having time off.
On a side note - found out the mechanic has not been rotating my tires, and now I need to buy new tires, way before I am supposed to need them.

Off to the pet food store to spend gobs of money on treats and toys.
Thanks everyone for letting me vent and be all sad about my four-legged child. Hopefully, it will be a while until I have to do it again.
On a happier note, his sister has been very sweet, and gave me an eyeful this afternoon.
For those who have never seen the elusive Zorra while over at my place, feast your eyes on one hot mama:

That's a wonderful pic, You. I am actually finally admitting that I could deal with having a cat. We'll see ...
Addy! I hope you had a great weekend.

OK, I'm home from the fair. This is me, Saturday morning, looking tired. I'm about ten zillion times worse looking right now.
Me and the boy. Ignore my shine. It was a bazillion degrees this weekend, or raining. Yuck.
