Hey Shamey, girly and my dear cuz! Missed you too! Vacation was lovely, interrupted only by a wake and funeral early in the week. Lots of sea kayaking, hiking, sailing and whale watching. Lots of good eating, too, and I LOST 2 pounds. Obviously the answer to weight loss is to stay on vacation.

We got back late yesterday afternoon – unpacked and crashed. It wasn’t as bad as I was expecting, although it is still very sad. My mom is still feisty and there were a few moments when I felt I was in my own personal production of AUGUST: MANATEE COUNTY.

I noticed, Shamey! I actually logged on for two seconds on Friday afternoon and saw the place was in total meltdown so I logged off.

LOL, Moony. The youngest, of course.

And there was a moment when my sister, not knowing that she was quoting, actually said "I'm running things now" to my mother. She didn't shout it, she said it very, very gently, but J2 and I were laughing so hard we had to leave the room.

I had a crazy Margarita night on Friday night and I woke up Saturday morning feeling fine. The sour mix must really neutralize the tequila.
