However, matinlawicide is none of those things.
Well, so far so good. Only a bit of hissing, but no bloodshed.
Zorra keeps a close eye on the dude, and is both intrigued and territorial. She is following him from room to room as he explores, and other than the occasional hiss, it all seems pretty good. He is happy go lucky, and just looking around.
Here he is chilling:
while she gives him the evil eye (for now, hopefully).

"matinlawicide is none of those things."
It's a good thing I didn't know that a few years ago
*sigh* Honestly, I just want to strangle mine right now.
YWIW - he is so adorable!

I want to strangle my mother right now. BUT, just a few short years ago, I would have gladly removed the problem that was my mother-in-law (term used for lack of a different one.)

miss p. im thinking of planing a dc bwwers thing
He's adorable!
Ok ... I'll bite. What's matinlawicide?
Q - don't do it, 'cause then they'd catch you and we'd have to bail you out and you'd pretty much just ruin Christmas.
Quick note to say hello.
I was with the Adults this weekend in spirit, as I couldn't be there in person.
Special love to Tink...
Hope Boobs is having a wonderful time being home!
DD, congratulations on your award! So exciting! (and, business travel gets REALLY old...)
Q, don't do it! Think pink!
YWIW, congratulations on the new family member!
DD - I think it is murdering your mother-in-law - but that is just a guess.

That's how I interpreted it
And, DD - I can't BELIEVE I was just over the mountain from you this weekend, but couldn't get away to come and see you! I REALLY could have used the escape. Congrats on your award, though!
matricide = killing one's mother
matrIN-LAWicide = killing one's mother-in-law
I made it up. I'm ONLY kidding!!! I don't even like to kill bugs (unless there are hundreds of them pretending to be a tablecloth in my hotel room.)

My parents were in Denver this weekend! I assume not at DD's award ceremony, but actually at a family party that I had hoped to attend.
Hey, YOU, how about "Luke"?
I don't know - I usually wait a bit until I find a name that fits.
I was thinking Bombay at first (his eyes match the color of the Sapphire Gin)
Then, I actually thought of "Hud" just because of the eyes. Luke, though it is a good movie, does not really make my ears perk up.
Right now, he is called Junior.
I could call him Cassidy - but that sounds like a girls name (and this cat is no "Butch").

Hmm, wonders whether he will be named Bombay in my honor? No pressure!!!!!!
How about "Henry Gondorff" from THE STING?
It's so funny what you said about "Hud" because I started to think it was a cool name, too! Just go to IMDB and look up all of Paul Newman's roles.
He had a fun name in THE HUDSUCKER PROXY. (Oooh. There's "Hud" again!)
Brd - it is one of my favorites as well.
My first thought was in fact "Hud" - but who knows.
I will wait to see what his personality is, and then figure out the rest.

I just realized you were naming your cat! Hmm, I thought it was something else!
Brd, you are like "The Absent-Minded Attorney"!!!! Maybe you should lay off the Bombay!

Your new date! (ok that joke did not work) Yes, I knew it was a cat!!!
No Bombay here tonight. (Must stop by store tomorrow!)
What was DD's award?
Hey, Brd, did you know I'm going to be in C-Town for a weekend in September?
