Picture it. Three medalists for the women's 200 butterfly. Two Chinese, one Australian. Only one was drug tested - blood tested, at that. I'll give you three guesses. Which swimmer? I need not mention that the Chinese finished one, two with a World record.
Apparently, this sort of thing has been happening at other venues, too.
Miss P, what really disappoints me is the amount of clothing worn by each of the men's beach volleyball teams. They're covered! Shocking!

Well, I just got back from Lea Michele's LA Cabaret, and it was really a glorious evening. John Lloyd Young sang some too, and it was truly splendid.

Well, truth be told, I think I'm getting a cold! A cold! In AUGUST! UGH!!!
Other than that, I'm fine. Starina and I had a girls' evening of watching the (well-built) Olympic swimmers while I gave us both manicures and pedicures. Today we go to get out hair cut! No boys allowed!!! (Except for the guy cutting our hair, of course.)

Well, the wee one is still not doing great, so I am taking her to the Rescue people to get a gander at - they have some meds that he was on before, and think that maybe finishing the cycle will do the trick. He is just very lethargic. I put him in a room separate from Zorra just to be safe.
So, I am off to do errands, and then take the wee one over to be looked at, and then to the Vet perhaps.
I have not watched much Olympic coverage because of the damn delay here - I will watch online, but not three hours delayed on TV.]
Enough grumbling - off to Costco!

Ha! Nothing "happened." He left for college RA training in Boston yesterday after a tearful goodbye. I won't see him until Thanksgiving, so until then, we're on "break."
He's my best friend. I miss him so badly it hurts.

I am sorry, but it is the right thing to do. At College, there is a whole new world to see (damn, I sound like a Disney song) and it is best if both of you are free to meet new people without feeling guilty.
The wee one is just so sleepy all of the time, that I think something may be wrong. After what happened with Stoli, I am a little neurotic.
DD - I am sorry it is so hot. It has been a warm summer for most of us.

aw deeg - you are so much more mature that I - or anyone I knew - was at your age. Hell ... you are probably more mature than I am right now. 
YWiW - we are heat wusses in the NW as we don't get many hot days, especially accompanied by smog warnings.

Mature? Are you joking? I feel like I'm dying. I was doing so well before he dropped me off Thursday, and he looked at me and said "You know, it's OK to cry." Of course, that set me off, and the poor guy had to deal with me crying on his shoulder for a solid hour.
I've waited seven years for this guy. That's how long I've known and on-and-off crushed on him. And now I have to give him up again. It is not fair.
