I am not home...and only recently got "warm" after complaining to the front desk about how frigid my room was. I was wearing my clothes, including a turtleneck, and was under a down comforter with the heat in the room jacked all the way (to 90!)

My nose was actually cold!

After two hours, I went downstairs and told them. They made an engineer go up and check out the room. He said, "I see what you mean." Then they tried to put me in a room that was even COLDER! So I went to the front desk again and this time, the "manager" came with me to inspect the room. I walked in and could actually feel a breeze! He said, "It's fine to me."

I hate complaining but the room was inhabitable! He moved me to a "normal" room, begrudgingly, but I had to persist in my complaining. I hate that!

MP - are you staying at your usual hotel? That's really surprizing if so. I would expect better from them!

Oh, Mamie, NO! Let me be clear about that. "My" hotel would NEVER do that! I made the STUPID mistake of staying somewhere I have never stayed before...to save a few bucks. And now I realize the folly in that! The amount I saved is nothing compared to what I get there as opposed to here. I will NEVER stay here again!

Hello Baddy, Tink.

The ankles getting better. It's still swollen but the black and blue is starting to fade. It's now more stiff than actually painful.

Baddy - no solid plans right now. I just got a brand new baby grand nephew and there's another new one due in about a week. SO - Mamma is coming out from LV to see her great grand babies and I'm going to have a houseguest for about 5-6 weeks. On top of this, my sister (the babies grandma) is going to have major surgery on 4/7 - so things are rather hectic around here right now.

Mamie - I understand fully..sounds like you have your schedule planned for awhile! My cousin just had major surgery and I was in Ohio for awhile trying to help out. And my daughter that just had a baby last July will be having another one this October!! She is also graduating this April with a special education teaching degree. She's a busy lady.

So the new woman that I've texts me yesterday that she's been thinking about me and wants to make me soup for my scratchy throat.
We go over to her place and she makes me this delicious salad and soup. We bake soda bread together for St Patty's Day and have a really nice evening. We're to see Edward Scissorhands Saturday.
This morning I got an email that she doesn't want a romantic relationship with me. (In the same week when she told me that I make her feel happy and beautiful).
I think I'm giving up. ( for now anyway)
