Good morning kiddies! A pot is brewing and there are some lemon squares for the taking.

I had a glorious time last evening at the Philadelphia Orchestra. They performed Mozart's Clarinet Concerto and
Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 ("Pathétique"). I enjoyed Pathetique immensly. Christoph Eschenbach is a god! Watching him conduct is almost better than any Broadway offering--such presence, panache, humor, passion and energy in his work.

Morning, All.

SOMMS - I love the Pathetique. I used to attend much more live music than I do now. Now it's almost all theatre - which isn't a BAD thing - but I do miss the live music performances. We are seeing AIDA this Sunday with the LA Opera. I STILL haven't been to the new Disney concert hall, which is supposed to have close to perfect accoustics.

Michele Crider is doing it here - and I just found out she's EIGHT months pregnant! I can't believe that doesn't affect her control and support. Margo reassured me by giving a list of performances he's seen with women in advanced stages. It's certainly going to be interesting.
