THIS WORLD OF TOMORROW transfering to Broadway in 2027 with Hanks and O’Hara

Surprised we're seeing this again after how forgettable its Shed run was. Maybe they'll use the intervening time to make some much needed edits. Regardless, it will be a sure hot ticket and commanding high prices with Hanks.

Agree. Maybe he'll wise up to that woman playing a little girl. (THAT was awkward).

A complete rewrite yes. A new director and set would help too.

You are. It was practically sold out for the entire run on Hanks’ name alone. The prices were obscene, but it certainly did sell. The critics reviews weren’t particularly kind.

Hanks doesn’t strike me as someone who plans on coasting this on his name alone. I figure two intervening years between productions means he took time to sit down with his cowriter and director and maybe fix what was wrong. I doubt he’d take a show that was panned and do nothing with it before putting it in front of a much higher paying audience.

Granted, this felt like something that should have stayed at The Shed, a hip new venue, with modern facilities, and no pressure to financially capitalize on anything or anyone.
