Bookers all around...cling,cling.
there's the legend status -- I am too jealous....
here's to the newest Legand BB!! I raise my coffee mug to you hon!
Thanks Mom !!!! Well got turn off now the "closing bell" is about to ring. I hope you're all on tonight to continue the celebration. Cheers !!!!
Congrats boobies!
By the way, Hell sucks. I know, I'm from Texas.
....RUNNING in with a bottle of champagne to toast Bboobs!
Pop! Bubbly for all.
Broadway legend - a milestone!
DGrant - darn, if I'd known a hot tub and champagne were involved I would have delivered my 'gift' in person, not via the mail (wink, wink...you know what I mean!)
oh, and by the way, I am VERY sad to hear Fay Wray died. Won't be able to watch or listen to Rocky Horror the same way...
A toast to boobs - and a big gulp of bubbly!
Boobs - sorry I'll miss your 'celebration' tonight, but I'm going to be home having a celebration of my own.
My sweetie is flying in tonight (He's going with me to Greece. Nice to be able to bring a guest )
So - folks, have fun without me...and I'll be toasting to you as I drink lots and lots of champagne tonight!
Cheers!
In honor of Fay Wray -
Science Fiction/Double Feature
Lips:
Michael Rennie was ill
The Day the Earth Stood Still
But he told us where we stand
And Flash Gordon was there
In silver underwear
Claude Rains was The Invisible Man
Then something went wrong
For Fay Wray and King Kong
They got caught in a celluloid jam
Then at a deadly pace
It Came From Outer Space
And this is how the message ran...
Science fiction (ooh ooh ooh) double feature
Doctor X (ooh ooh ooh) will build a creature
See androids fighting (ooh ooh ooh) Brad and Janet
Anne Francis stars in (ooh ooh ooh) Forbidden Planet
Wo oh oh oh oh oh
At the late night, double feature, picture show
Isn't Rocky the best?!...I always wanted to play Janet!
Thanks - I will. (Maybe, just maybe, I'll bring him with me to the thread later...because I've been telling him all about this Playground, so he should see for himself!)
...this sounds like the start of a casting call...our own little Rocky production!
Rehearsals after 'school', painting scenery, sewing costumes...and, the cast party!
I dressed up as Magenta way back when. (When I could keep my eyelids open past 11:30)
...and what a cast party this little band of players would throw! Can you imagine?! I wouldn't miss it!!
even have red hair now! Only need a good poodle perm to make it complete!
mom - I have a hunch we've all dresssed up as one character or another. I remember going to see it in the Village when I was in high school. Quite the adventure! Mom couldn't understand why we kept going in to the city just to 'see a movie'...(good thing she didn't really know...)
Another mile stone 3,000 posts to this thread!
Well, that calls for another bottle of something delicious!
Cheers - here's to always finding something to talk about!
I raise my bottle of Poland Springs Sparkling Raspberry-Lime water to you all!
Is it any surprise your internal conversation has accrued this many posts?
ok, now I REALLY have to go...
It would be nice if I were actually at home when he arrives...so he doesn't end up hanging out with my doorman!
Cheers!
TTFN NY have a fun tonight!
Ok..my bus driver tonight was driving like a Maniac...so in my head I was singing Maniac from Flashdance...I remember a friend of mine coming to work with that look..long shirt tied in a knot at the hip and the shirt hanging down over one shoulder with lycra capri pants and a pair of pumps..now this is Wall St...I can't tell you how many times she was sent home to change...so funny.
There is a time and a place for almost anything including the "Flashdance look", but Wall Street just isn't one of them!
She was one of those co-workers that I would have to call her at home at 10 a.m and say where are you and she'd say sleeping and why are you calling me so early on a Saturday and I say because it's not Saturday it's Tuesday and you're suppose to be at work. I love her to death though and had many good laughs. I told her that "Girls Just want to have fun" was written for her when it came out.
